I had a 'corrupt" computer user profile in my computer, (meaning it was probably a missing file, or had a damaged computer file within it)

and so i set up a new main user profile for my computer, by simply renaming the 'profile' i had.

and my toolbar is gone now, all the favorites and things i had on it, all gone! poof!

anyway to get those favorites and the toolbar back?

THANK YOU IF ANYONE KNOWS HOW I CAN GET THAT TOOLBAR BACK.

I have antique earrings, believed to be from SW Ireland, at least before 1904. The earrings contain a carving, 375 the two curved lines, like () ()

but between the curved lines is an ANCHOR ON IT'S SIDE.

There is also CP,

and another symbol which looks like a cross on top of a circle, which resembles today's symbol for female.

Can anyone help? We feel fairly certain these earrings would have been purchased in Ireland, before the year 1904.

I have posted a question, and received many provably false and even nasty(???) replies, i want to vote for "no best answer".........but, i can not see it listed amongst the answers?

I am referring to any registration, etc. Why, since is has been proven purebreds suffer maladies at a far higher rate than mutts, you can not reply, "Oh, AKC assures the pups are healthy" cuz, they Don't.

AKC does not not NOT check more than 5% of their puppy mills, which comprise the Vast Bulk of AKC registered pups.

I will agree, there are 5% of breeders out there to try to eradicate the health issues brought on by purebred's small gene pool. Yes, those breeders DO exist, but, are small %, Very Rare breeder who does that.

So, i guess there are 2 reasons left for feeling an AKC pup is more valuable:

Money to become a BYB with that piece of paper

and/or

Feeling a superficial pride that somehow, that paper, makes that dog 'better'

and/or

feeling your dog has met the contrived beauty standards of a breed.

so why do YOU think a piece of paper makes a dog more valuable?

Found a weird tree, regularly tall, ordinary tree, except it is covered with large clusters of what appear to be tan colored grapes, in clusters like grapes are. They are NOT grapes, but tan colored prickly balls, if i cut them open, they are pale green inside..

I live in zone 5 in USA, but i am pretty certain this tree must be imported, i've never ever seen a tree like this around here.

C. used to play this online game, "Rat's Kitchen".....now it is no longer listed, what happened?

C. says when plays Call of Duty United Offensive, that he can no longer load new maps. He blames this on "Punkbusters"..anyone know a fix for this? He's tried re-loading the game, it is on his "allowed" websites, etc. Anyone else have this trouble?

I am currently using IE. I USED to get a lil option "do you want to save this group of tabs" even if the computer was crashing or something, somehow, i must have clicked 'never show me this again' or something, or maybe it is cuz i am using IE now..but i can't find a way to get that "Save these tabs for next time you start computer?" to re-appear?

whenever i have reported fraud mail to Yahoo, i always have to 'click on it' /open it, to get the sender's email address to report it.

Anyway around that?

Yahoo needs some way to just check that box next to the mail, to send it on the fraud squad, without us having to open it and risk getting some virus...

I do NOT get MY news from my Yahoo home page, but i've suddenly been noticing that it tends to have the most biased 'news' headlines...very very right wing viewpoint coming right through..

Anyone else been noticing this!? This is like how North Korea gets it's 'news'...

I had recently switched to the new yahoo email, didn't like it too much, cuz it doesn't alert me if new mail arrives.......

but when i went back to the old "classic" yahoo email, the little bubble "new email" notification thing never occurs anymore....

Can i turn that back on?

Recently, my screen takes on a strange, narrowed shape, curves inward on the vertical sides. Sometimes it spontaneously pops back into full size again......

I already checked the settings, and that dial on the bottom of the monitor. Everything there was okay.

My AVG virus scanner did show a virus a while back, called JS/Psyme, but it has since been removed, and no virus now.

Anyone have any ideas what could be causing this? Someone told me maybe my monitor is going out....?

I have just 'updated' to the newer Yahoo mail(not the classic). There is a calendar at the bottom edge to set reminders and stuff. Neat feature. However, only the very tip-top edge will show.

Anyone else have this problem? Any advice?

Can anyone recommend a cookbook with very easy,QUICK inexpensive recipes in it? That don't require tons of odd ingredients for a young inexperienced cook...i would expecially like one that has photos and also has recommended side dishes or a complete meal menu.

I am just loving the Yahoo radio channel, the Music Launchcast (mine is tucked onto the bottom half of Yahoo Msgr with Voice) that you can program with all your favorite music. Wow, it is awesome. I have just somehow installed this OTHER yahoo radio as well, it is light purple maybe and takes up the whole screen--is there anyway to transfer all the songs I have "rated" onto the new one? Does this new one have any advantages?

I just installed a Yahoo toolbar, and now, no matter how many times I go under my old toolbar, click onto View--click onto Toolbars--check it so it will show, it still won't show? I would sort of like my old window back again, as the Yahoo toolbar does not track my old sites, nor show the entire HTTP address of where I am searching.
