What's the procedure of registering an ISBN?

This is really a basic question about MY "how", which haunts me. What do you need to create a social networking, dating websites, a forum or a chat?

When talking about Linux/PHP platform, is it enough if you have general knowledge (RDMB, OOP, etc.), and know/learn PHP, MySQL, AJAX, Javascript, XML, CSS, HTML?

Or do you really need to know more... Really more than that? If you say yes, I ask to specify WHAT else, please.

And what is PHPMyAdmin for? Do you need it if you DON'T use Joomla, but just want to make your own script, your own classes, layout, etc.

I know basics of programming (ASP.NET, VB.NET, C#.NET)... But it's really not enough even to understand "how"...

I believe I can. But even if it's unpossible (even though I BELIEVE I CAN), I would like to know what I really need to know to be able to realise what I'm talking about.

Yahoo really sucks! Near lots of stupidities, they removed my last 2 questions (Community Guidelines)...

One of them had a title: Calories or Kilocalories (which one is right)?, and the other one "Who sings this song?".... I really want to remove everything I've done here. Only my email. I just need it, because it's attached to my academy-account and I would like to keep it.

I have created a new e-mail account at Live Mail (hotmail), and the first e-mail I sent from that new e-mail account to myself (to an older e-mail addres of mine) to test my new account, was not good. It sent that first mail to the junk folder of my older e-mail account. So, the new e-mail address is marked as junk, while I never used it before. Every one get my e-mails from my new account to junk e-mail folder.

What can I do?

Print marges are very important for me. I cannot find any information about the print marges of a Laser or a Color Laser Printer. I need two HP, Brother, Ricoh, or Kyocera printers (a laser and a color-laser).

The print marges may not exceed 3mm (all sides), but 2mm could be ideal for me (because I have to print special drawings and diagrams, that may not be scaled when printing)... local resellers cannot answer my question... Maybe somebody knows where to find this kind of information?

1) Is it possible to merge two PDF-document pages of same size (e.g. A4) as a single page of same size? If yes, how? (e.g. one page consists of company letter template, the other one is the letter content)

2) Is it possible to use a PDF-single page as a (background) template for other pages of whole document? (e.g. one page consists of company logo in footer area, which must be placed on each page of document)

Hi, I have an Asus P5N32-SLI Premium (Socket 775) motherboard, which supports RAID 0, 1, 0+1, 5, and JBOD configuration across SATA drives (x6).

I want to implement the following;

- SATA1: Primary Master; 1 Primary active partition (320GB, C:\), where I install my Windows XP

- SATA2: 1TB HDD (ARCHIVED FILES)

- SATA3: 1TB HDD (DUPLICATE ARCHIVED FILES)

I want to make a "mirroring"-implementation between SATA2 and SATA3 for my archived files.

Is it possible? And how to do that? I have just installed my Windows XP, but other 2 drives (SATA2 and SATA3) are not configured as RAID 1 yet.

The original adapter of monitor is;

freq: 50-60Hz

input: 220-240V

output: 12V

Everything worked fine, but suddenly the adapter crashed. I didn't know why. We replaced the adapter with another one with the same characteristics, but any adapter that is connected to the monitor becomes too hot within an hour and crashes. I understand that it's something wrong with monitor, but what and what can I do myself?

I had Windows Live Suite version 2008 on my pc. Everything was OK. Then I got informed about the new beta version of Windows Live Suite (ver. 12) and I installed (upgraded) it. After the installation I couldn't sign-in to my Windows Live account using Windows Live Messenger. I got a dialog window where it says that my firewall may be on and that's why my password or username cannot be verified (but my firewall isn't on, and there is no third party firewall installed on my PC. I tried to check the service status; the result was OK. Then I tried to troubleshoot and repair, nothing helped (DNS problem???)... Then I just uninstalled Windows Live Suite beta version and tried to downgrade to the older one.

What I got?

Error message;

"There was a problem with this installation. Windows Live Suite was not installed. System error details Code: 0x8000ffff Description: Catastrophic failure"

I've tried to reinstall (repair) Windows Installer 3.1, NET Framework 3.5 and Service Pack 1 for NET FW 3.5, clean damaged or temp register keys then I restarted my pc, but I still have the problem;
