I received an email today from PDF trial support, telling me that my 14 day free trial will expire soon (7days) Are they legit?
1) I they're fishing for customers.
2) I never downloaded anything from them, never subscribed, never signed up, never heard of them. I emailed that to them.
What do you think?
1 AnswerAbuse and Spam6 years agoWhy can't I hear professional local news anchors and reporters on television?
I can hear my wife speaking to me from the same distance as the TV, and she comes through very clearly.
I should mention that I've worn hearing aids for about 10 years.
3 AnswersMedia & Journalism6 years agoHow do I do this, so I can access and send this document via e-mail?
We have Windows 7. and Windows Live Mail 2012. I get this message when I try to e-mail a document: Open Office was unable to find a working e-mail configuration. Please save this document locally instead and attach it from within your e-mail client. Please walk me through this. Thanks
1 AnswerSoftware7 years agoHow can I open all files in Documents?
I often get a message that says: To open this file, Windows needs to know what program you want to use to open it. Windows can go on line to look it up automatically, or you can manually select from a list of programs that are installed in your computer. What do you want to do? There's a long list of Programs. How do I know which one to use?
Sometimes I get a message that says Do you want to open this File? When I click OPEN, nothing happens.
Also, when I click on a file, I get a screen that has nothing to do with the document file that I once saved. Tonight, I got the MSN home page!. How do I avoid that?
And last, I get Your current settings do not allow this file to be downloaded. That's not a good answer. All I want to do is look at it and maybe run copy for someone who doesn't have a PC
These documents were "saved" on my old computer. It had XP. The hard drive failed. I got a new computer with Windows 7. The flash drive backup is not as good as I thought.
I had these same problems for 5 years on the old computer.
There should be a way to save these files in Documents with confidence that we can retrieve them easily and not worry about what program they were saved on, etc. What is that way?
Years ago, It took the Army less time to take me than it takes to bring up a file from documents.
How can I accomplish that?

What kind of a Constitution would we have?
What kind of a government would we have?
Would our standard of living be higher or lower than it is now.
4 AnswersGovernment7 years agoWhat are the reasons why the stock market is so high?
Is it mostly because of quantitative easing by the Fed? It seems to be the main reason recently why
the market goes down when it thinks the Fed will soon stop that easing.
It seems like the market is built on a foundation consisting mostly of debt (liabilities). Is that true?
If so, is that a strength, or is it a weakness?
Would the market be higher if it was built on a foundation of assets, i.e, stronger earnings?

Is it a good reliable legitimate source for finding your German ancestors?
Many times they show the name of the source (Church book, name of the individual in whose family tree these ancestors are found, etc)
I'm finding quite a few ancestors in it, but am hesitant about posting them to my family tree)
1 AnswerGenealogy8 years agoA survey: do you put your ancestors' in-laws names on your family tree?
Example: Your fourth cousin's spouse's grandparents
9 AnswersGenealogy8 years agoWhat's with Microsoft Security Essentials?
PC Status is always Potentially Unprotected (Orange Alert)
Update: Your system is Up To Date
BUT When I click UPDATE, it says it is downloading and installing the latest updates.
After that, the PC Status is again Potentially Unprotected
Also, I've got it scheduled for a Full Scan Daily at 2:00AM.
But it always tells me that I haven't run a scan recently.
What should I do? I can't believe it's Unprotected, but It's making me nervous.
Should I uninstall MSE and reinstall it?

2 AnswersElections8 years agoThe groomer found two fleas on our dog's head. Does she have more?
One flea had blood. The other on didn't. Our dog is a small (11#) terrier, We walk her once a day, and put her out (on a rope) in the back yard. There are rabbits and squirrels out there.
We never see our dog scratching herself or rolling around on her back and sides.
I hate to give her Frontline because of two fleas. What should we do?
4 AnswersDogs8 years agoWhy does Microsoft Security Essentials tell me that my PC is at risk or unprotected?
I have it set to run daily at 12:00PM.
At any time of day, it tells me that MSE has not run lately, and my PC could be at risk.
Then I run MSE and an hour later it tells me that no viruses were found.
This is a huge waste of time. But I can't ignore the warning.
How can I prevent this?
4 AnswersSecurity8 years agoIs it OK to be doing othte things on the PC while Microsoft Security Essentials is scanning for viruses?
Doing the usual things like surfing the 'Net or sending an email.
Same question for Malwarebytes Anti-Malware.
3 AnswersSecurity8 years agoMust the computer be turned on in order to run Microsoft Security Essentials?
I've got it scheduled for 2:00AM daily. The computer is turned off then. Today a message showed up, saying we haven't run MSE for a few days, and the computer is at risk.
