2 AnswersLaw & Ethics1 decade agoDefective RAM causing no-boot?
I have had months of trouble trying to get my Striped RAID motherboard working again after the capacitors blew. I finally got the problem figured out (I thought) and just got the motherboard back from a guy who replaced all large caps.
After reinstalling my motherboard it wouldn't even flicker on. While reviewing pics I was going to post to see if anything was my fault, I found my RAM to be seemingly missing a piece. http://img31353.pictiger.com/images/13030823/ Is this the cause of my computer not showing any signs of power-on or is there more to blame. (I'm tired of spending money on this in order to recover my hard drives' contents.) I can provide more pics if needed.
Thanks for any help!

4 AnswersOther - Hardware1 decade agoIs the point of orgasm a good place to draw the line?
Before I grew up, I had the misconception that being a virgin until marriage also meant not orgasming until marriage. Now, I realize that a person can have an orgasm doing things far from actual sex. Now I have the problem of not knowing where I want to draw the line in a possible short term relationship, or at least one that I don't think is going to end up being my wife. Right now, since I haven't found the right person I'm just looking for someone to share some of my time with along with some cuddling. What would be the point of saving sex for marriage, but not saving orgasm for marriage? People often say they regret having sex while young, but why, specifically, do they regret it and others not? I just don't want lust/loneliness to result in decisions I later regret such as not feeling as connected to my future wife or having the special closeness associated with each having only one partner......sorry for the essay.
12 AnswersSingles & Dating1 decade agoOpt-out required for tech support?
I was just on Memorex's website trying to get support for a possibly defective product and the support page said to fill out an online request. However, in order to ask my question I was required to fill out my address, phone number, and email before I could send anything. (I understand the email is necessary for a response.) Upon reading the privacy policy, it stated that information collected passively or through filled out information could be used for commercial purposes such as advertising. The opt-out policy was set up so you first had to receive advertisements and then reply (Remove) to stop further contact.
Is this legal???
I thought I had read at some point that sites were required to make the policy an "opt-in" where you had to place a check or actively state that you want to be contacted, NOT that information could be collected or used for commercial purposes without your expressed consent. (The memorex website also collects IP address for commercial purposes.)

I am having trouble coming up with a topic for research for an Adaptive Music class (college). One idea that a friend is doing is the issue of mainstreaming. Other than that, I am at a loss for a topic.

I'm doing a research paper and am trying to think of a well known case where there was a lot of evidence showing guilt, but where the justice system worked and found the person RIGTHLY innocent.
3 AnswersLaw & Ethics2 decades ago$200 pet fee for allowing pets in an apartment legal?
A friend and I are getting ready to sign a lease on an apartment and when we asked about pets, they said they charge a one time fee of $200. When I asked what the fee went toward they said, "so you can have a pet." I said, "no, what does the fee go toward," to which I got the same reply. They also charge you extra for any pet damage done.
My question is, is it legal to charge someone a fee for a pet just because they can even though they are not using the money for anything? (It is not returned if there is no damage)
Thanks

5 AnswersHair2 decades agoPersonal Quiz Website?
Does anyone know what quiz website allows you to make up your own questions or choose among already created questions to have friends answer about you?
I'm curious what my friends think of me (looks/personality/etc), but obviously very few people are actually open enough to say these things.
I'm NOT trying to trick my friends into telling me everything about me and then have it secretly send me their names or anything like that. (That is very disrespectful)
Thanks
