My brother was the first to have kids so my mom started by taking care of them. When my son was born, I realized it was going to be too much taking care of two babies 4 months apart and a preschooler. I found a family friend. Later my sister in law took care of him. When my SIL found work my mom was now able to care for my son and nephew. I paid her $120

Well, I had a baby last year and she started taking care of her and my son and nephew, now 3 years old. I paid my mom $180 a week. I found out later that my brother is paying $200 a week just for my nephew. I was feeling bad since she was caring for 2 of my kids. Later I found out he is claiming her for babysitting on taxes without telling her. I have never put down babysitting so she doesn't have to worry about taxes. Also when my brother and his wife pick up the kids they also stay almost every night for dinner. I just pick up my kids and go.

This year my brother had another baby. I was not able to find someone else to care for my kids. My parents realized that caring for two 4 year olds, an 18 month old and a 4 month old might be too hard. They asked my neighbor to come help and they would pay her $150 a week.

Should I pay my mom more? I think my brother is now doing $240 a week. I don't claim my mom and I don't stay for dinner. Thanks for your time!!

My sister owes about altogether $32,000. She has gotten credit counceling through American Consumer Credit Counseling (ACCC) and she owes $23,000when they consalidated 3 credit cards. She owes a bank loan of $2,000. She owes another credit card $2300, She owes Sears $3200 and Mervyns $700. My dad's offered to put all of it on his credit card but I am afraid she will never be able to pay that amount. She makes $23,000 a year and claims she cant find another higher paying job. Can she file for bankruptcy and if she does, what exactly does he need to do?

We're getting married in 2 weeks & he has been working really hard at getting one of his parent's house ready for us to move in (we are renting it out & previous renters left it a mess). I tell him that everything doesn't need to be done by the time we move in & that we can work on some things after we move in. He's already missed 4th of July BBQ with my family, my only niece's b-day party and he may even miss my b-day on Monday because he wants to finish the house. We live about 40 miles away from each other and he wanted me to go over to his house to celebrate my b-day with his family when he knows my family always does either dinner at home or at a restaurant. He gets out of work at 5 and he would be stuck in traffic if he were to come straight to my house. I don't expect him to do that but I just wish he would of come to at least something. When I told him about my niece's party he said, what would you rather have, a house to live in or for me to go to a b-day party?

I am getting married on July 21st and I havent booked a hotel yet. I was wondering if anyone knew of a nice hotel to stay at.

My fiancee was very opposed to the idea of this type of party. We had a bridal shower and I made it clear to my sister (maid of honor) not to do anything tasteless. She honored my request. On saturday she did throw a surprise bacherlorette party and I thought it was going to be a b-day party. When I got there my friends and cousins were there and I was in total shock. Well, I had one too many tequila shots and I was hammered. They also hired a stripper. I had fun to say the least. Now I am not a partygirl type, this is even the first time I have ever gotten drunk. I told my fiancee about it (except the stripper part) and he was VERY upset that I got drunk. I can't imagine what he would have said if he knew the stripper part. Now I dont know what to do, he says he cant trust my sister anymore and that I didnt use good judgement. He claims that had his friends thrown him this type of party, he would have walked out. How do I handle this situation?

I picked two of my cousins (both sisters) to be my bridesmaids. They got offended that their names did not appear on the invitation (sponsor's names were). They left me a message on myspace that they did not want to be in the wedding because of that. I called them to explain why their names did not appear on the invite and everything seemed to be ok. She said she would be able to come to my shower. Next day she sends a text saying that their dresses dont fit, the place cheated on the sizes of the dresses. All other bridesmaids seem to be ok with their dresses. I called and left a message that it would cost extra to exchange and that I can give her directions to get to the place. Well, instead of calling me back they called one of our mutual cousins, also a bridesmaids to double check that her dress does in fact fit. They told her that they would be taking the dresses to my bridal shower. Of course, that cousin told me what they were up to. Those two cousins never showed!

We have a ton of people in our wedding party. The bridesmaids all drove to LA to get their bridesmaids dresses fitted. We all live about an hour away from LA. I went to pick up the dresses when they were ready and I delivered all the dresses to my bridesmaids. A couple of days ago, two of my bridesmaids wanted to drop out because they didnt see their names on the invitations. Since its a mexican wedding, we have sponsors for the actual ceromony. Those people were included in the invitation. As for the bridesmaids, they were not for the sake of space. I explained to them why their names were not in it and they said they would do it after all. The next day after that, they said that their dresses do not fit. They claim that the place must have made a mistake with the tags. My other 9 bridesmaids have not had a problem with the dress, just them two. Am I obligated to do anything about it? It will cost more to get another one size and they havent paid for their dresses yet

I ordered all I needed but now that I have them I have no idea how to put it together so that it looks as nice as it does on the picture. Do I make the ribbon first, do I put that together with the ribbon rose. Can anyone please let me know step by step instructions. I have 200 to do!!

I was supposed to get my next oil change at EZ Lube on November 20th. I waited until the beginning of January to finally get my car but I took it to Wal-mart (the oil light had briefly turned on). When the people at wal-mart checked it out they said that my oil pan was stripped. I took it to my dealer and they said that they needed to replace the whole oil pan because they couldn't remove something to drain the oil. They said that it was obvious the last place where I took it to get my oil changed was the one that stripped the pan. Now I don't know what to do to approach EZ Lube. What can I demand from them?

I am going to get married next September and are planning to have a somewhat traditional Mexican wedding with some minor differences. My fiancee and I plan to buy our wedding rings and have the "padrinos de anillos" present the rings at the alter. We were planning on asking his brother and sister-in-law. My godmother called my mom saying they way want to give me the wedding rings. I want to say no but my parents insist that it wouldn't be right to say no because their feelings would be hurt. There's another catch to the story, back in the 80's my godfather "mishandled" some of my dad's money. We think he stole it but since no one wants to bring it up its always been an issue. I don't know if they really want to give me the rings because I am their goddaughter or because they want to "pay back" some of that money in a sense. I really don't know what to do. I just want to be able to pick my own rings. I wouldn't want to look at them knowing there's that story behind it...
