I took an ice cold bath after running but now I cannot think straight? Why?
I ran in two track races today. I was a little sore but mostly tired. First I took a hot bath but then my muscles felt like jello, and so I looked up online and found that hot baths are not recommended after running but rather ice cold baths so I took an ice cold bath. Now, although I don't feel cold, I know my body temperature is low because I'm shivering, my heart feels erratic, and I cannot think straight. Is this normal for a runner to feel when they take their first ice cold bath?

Consistently call myself "stupid" and "incapable" and because of that I tend to overdo things to make up for it.

I am a 16-year old boy who runs a 1600 Meters in 4:49. My first 3 laps are fast but my last lap is when I fall off.
