I just caught that after the second viewing

my daughter is preg with 1st child. she's about 8 months due sept 23.

She called me today and wants to come visit and "clean" my house.

I live 100 miles away.

she said that she has done everything possible to hers and needs a house to clean. she wants to clean my mother's house(who lives nearby me) too.

I know that cleaning is a sign of nesting but isn't this a little too early?

I thought you only did that about a week or two before the baby is due?

she has been like this for a month now and last month came up to help pressure wash the house(I did most of it cuz I didn't want her to hurt herself)

I feel wierd letting her do this but she insists.

her father and I are divorced and it was an ugly divorce in which his mother was involved in helping him get custody of my children when they were younger by lying and causing great hardship for me. As a result, I have not spoken to her or any of their family in 8 yrs.

now, this family is having a baby shower for her and at my daughter's request, has invited me and my mother.

My mother wants to go and my daughter wants us to come but I am having high anxiety about the whole thing.

I really dislike the family especially the mother in law. I don't want to be at a party with her or her family but my daughter wants me there and I hate to disappoint her.

and, it's my only daughter's baby shower- my first grandchild!!

everyone is saying to just let it go and go to the shower and have a good time but how do I have a good time at a party where I can't stand the people having the party???

I am so confused! I am 48 and just now starting to care for my face.

I have always had good skin(olive, mediterrian) so I never thought too much about moisturizers and skin care. Now, I am starting to have wrinkles and uneven spots.

What should I use? there are so many products both expensive and reasonable.

I can't remember any of the stars names but the movie was done in the 1980s and it was about a kid who was a genius and wiz at some of those old arcade games. His older brother and friends tried to take him to some championship contest for arcade video games.

Anyone know the movie? I thought Corey Haim was in it but I looked it up on imdb.com and none of those movies rang a bell.
