Please Help! I lost my dvd creating software. Is there some way to find it? Please read the description.?
Well, here's the story. I downloaded a free DVD creating program, but, in a totally unrelated incident, I got a computer virus and was forced to reformat my computer. In the process, I forgot to write down the name of the software I used and now, I can't find it. I have a few DVD's I burned, using that program. Does anybody know if there might be a way I could find out the program I used to burn the DVD from the DVD itself? If not, the standout features of this program are: when the program automatically started up upon the insertion of a blank DVD, I seem to remember a red ball and the name of the program which flashed up may have begun with an S. Once the program started up, There were several menu buttons on the left hand side of the screen (Import Video, Music, DVD etc.). At the top was the obligatory toolbar. On the right hand side, below the preview screen, there was a large, round red button which said "Burn". To the left of the preview screen was a large blank area where you could drag and drop video files. This area also featured a preview of the menu background for the finished DVD. The default background featured an old looking map and, for some reason, was accompanied by some slightly jazzy music. Also, this program worked with MP4's and, I guess, automatically converted the MP4 files to what was needed for the program to work. Does any of this ring a bell? The program was a free one (I'm a cheapskate who dosen't like to pay for anything if I don't have to), and it was very simple to use. I would dearly like to have it back. Any help would be appreciated.
