I lived here and went to school here. I never know what to answer, and now I am saying I am Hawaiian, but look like a light Black and I straighten my kinky hair.I am anxious when some one asks me what is you ethnicity. Blacks get such a bad rap and I guess I am trying to escape the racism. My children have back fathers, and they have black children, except that my daughter shacked up with a white boy. I an concerned because I go to an orthodox church were where you came from and what family you still have there? is always being discussed in a friendly way. (what village do you parents come from is typical, most of the membership is Greek, but there are also other European orthodox too.. but the are all light. In high schooI I hung out aces tors black kids because that is where if fit in. I didn't even graduate,and had a baby with a black boy, and another baby with another black boy soon after. I was again pregnant with a black boys child but married a Greek and he thinks the girl is his.My mother had several children with other men, They have blonde hair blue eyes, others are darker than me.some brown straight hair and brown eyes. all born here in USA, Could I be trying to fool myself by calling myself Hawaiian? I named my sons and grandsons with Hawaiain names I found on the internet. Should just say I am black and honor my father? The law says 1/8 in ancestors and you qualified as black. There is no Native full blooded Royal Hawaians in my family..

I have noticed uniformed officers all through out the DRC, they escort, guide individuals to their destination, ie, Fema for housing and other needs, Small Business Association, Work force commission, IRS.
