My father was adoptied and we have been looking for my grandmother for years with no luck. Any sugestions?

My best friend of 18 years has a problem, her husband! He dose not allow her to have friends or even much of a life. We have secret names to talk to each other on the net.She will call me the sec. he leaves and we stay on the phone for hours.She lives five mins from here and I have seen her a total of 10 times (if that) in three years.Let me remind you she is my best friend.I cant even go to her parents house or he will not let her see them.Now they have two children who I want to see but cant.She has everything but friends and a car.He says she can have frineds but finds something wrong with all of them.I have told her to stand up to him, but she wont.I don't want to quit being there for her when she needs me, but it is frustrating.It is hard and when i call and he is there she has to say wrong number.i feel sorry for her she didnt use to be this way.Her parents who i once called mom and dad have nothing for me anymore because of her husbands lies.I have never done anything to him.
