Computers, mountain biking, dirt biking, paintballing. I'm fairly skilled when it comes to computers or anything to do with paintball markers. So if you ever have a question about any of those, I'm your guy!

  • Rabbit Hunting in Tucson, AZ?

I live in Vail, AZ. I am interested in hunting rabbit (Either cottontail or jack) every once in a while. I'll get a license so I'll be legit, and I would like to know of any good places within' an hours drive from Vail, AZ.

Any help would be awesome, if you know of a place, please link to directions or a map, website, etc...

  • Whats better for taxes, Selling or Giving?

A good buddy is giving me a car (it's worth about $2000), so I want to do what's best for him tax-wise. So would it be more beneficial for him if he gave it to me (and I provide him with a gift receipt) or if he sells it to me (for a really small about, like, $20 bucks). I live in the state of Arizona (I'm legally in Vail, AZ, he's in Tucson, AZ, just in case that's pertinent). And please don't put what you heard from your all knowing uncle Chuck, links to the tax code or some site that interprets it would be the best.

  • good west side Tucson resturaunt on a budget?

Taking my girlfriend out for a special birthday tomorrow, we were going eat at that resturaunt at the Desert Museum, but they close too early. Just anything really, as long as it isn't on the North West side (I live in Vail, yay, but were going to the Desert Museum so we'll already be on the far west side). I want to keep it decently priced (under 40 bucks for a decent meal for both of us), and just have a good time, it doesn't have to be romantic or what ever, I just want to have some fun and makes good memories. So with that said, anyone know any resuraunts that fit that bill?

  • Pool is hazy, but all the levels are fine, a little help?

Our above ground pool is hazy, it's not green, it's just hazy, we've taken water samples to the pool supply store, they've tested them, and said everything was spot on (and they mean everything, metals, dissolved solids, ph, alkaline, sanitizer, and bacteria/fungi/mold, what ever). You can't see maybe more than a foot down in the water before it's too hazy to see anything. It also isn't a traditional chlorine based system, it uses a different chemical based system called Baquacil, not sure exactly what is uses, but I know it's not chlorine or salt water. The water in it is about two years old, we keep it covered, run the filter every day, etc.

So, any guesses why it's still hazy?

  • Good Disk Partitioner?

I need some freeware or shareware hard drive partitioner program. What I'm trying to do is install Ubuntu (7.04, Feisty Fawn) on my laptop that already has windows installed on it, and lots of files and programs that are important to me. So I need to partition the hard drive, WITHOUT erasing anything on the drive. It came with two logical drives from the factory, one is a FAT32 volume, the other is NTFS, I would like to further partition the NTFS volume, like I said, without erasing any existing data on it. Is this even possible?

Oh, and the NTFS volume has about 37 gigs free on it also....

  • Excel alphabatizing tricks?

Messing around with this little baby database thing in Excel, it's really tedious to enter names and info when I have to alphabetize everything, which often requires sorting through (literally) reams of paper, looking for a single name. Are there any programming tricks or cell formulas that will allow me to look up a single entry based off of the name, or say, a certain date pertaining to that name, test scores, anything.

Or would it just be easier for me to just scrap this whole thing (sucks now that it has over 350 entries into it already) and build a new one using microsoft access?

  • Do I absolutely need a stencil for a tat?

I want to get a tat, and it's original, I can't find any designs or anything, online, or anywhere. It's going to be a simple cross with a bit of scripture around it, nothing too complicated, all black, and fairly small. My question is, do I need to get a stencil for it, cause I've heard that your absolutely not supposed to get a tat without one. I would think they might be able to make one, or just free hand it.

    Do I need one?

  • Good tat shop in Tucson, AZ?

Getting my first tat when I turn 18, and I don't know anyone with tats, so I kinda need to know where a good place to get one is. Like I said, I live in Tucson Arizona, and the tat I'm gunna get is very simple and small, just black, and I want to keep it relatively cheap (under a hundred bucks, with the care products and stuff afterwards too), I just want a good reputable (licensed is a must) clean place where I can get a fairly priced tat, thanks for the help.

  • Old linux for old compy?

Yes, I said compy, lets just ignore that.

I have an old Pentium 2 desktop, 128 ram, 4 meg video card (not OTB crap, it's actually half way good, for 10 years ago anyways...) floppy, CDRW, all the sweet stuff for a ten year old computer.

I need a Linux distro that can run on this old machine, I tried PCLinuxOS, and it booted, but had tons of problems with the desktop not showing and stuff.

So are there any Distros made specifically for old computers or old versions of distros that haven't expired.

BTW, I'm not using windows 98 because I got the computer second hand, no windows CD, and it practically blew up in my face, I had to end up reformatting the hard drive to the point where I didn't even have DOS on it any more, only thing I have is Award Bios, which thankfully can boot from the CD ROM.

  • good translation website?

I have been using babel fish and freetranslation.com together to sort of blend their results, but I want to find a website that can do better with grammar and slang. I need to translate text (copied and pasted) from American English to Latin American Spanish, and vice versa. I want it to do good with grammar and syntax and slang and all that good stuff, but I also want it to be free, is that even possible?

  • Question about a Fender Strat? Please read details.?

I purchased a "used" electric guitar recently. It was advertised as a Fender California Strat, and looked extremely similar to other california strats there. the only difference was that it had a humbucking pickup and the neck head thing (what ever it's called with the tuning pegs) was very slightly different. It also had "S101 standard" printed on it with a logo featuring an S. the Serial number is: EFS24/BK. it has a black body and a fender style tremolo.

My question is this: is this some obscure, little known about Fender model guitar, or a knock off?

Also, it is made in China.

There are a couple pictures of it there, please look at these, it will give you a better idea of what it is.

    Thanks for any help.

  • Does age affect car loans?

Simple as that, will my age affect my APR on a car loan (looking at about 3500-4000), I'll be 18 when I get the car and I DO NOT have a credit card, so I really don't have a credit history.

I guess also, how much will my APR vary Based on my credit rating/history, by the time I get the car I will have had a credit card for about two months with it being paid off every month.

  • is there any good karaoke freeware out there?

I want to burn my own CD+G's for bands that have no karaoke CD's, so first I need a program to remove (or preferably decrease) vocals, and then I need a burning program where I can insert lyrics and time it some how, and then finally burn the CD+G.

So is there any good freeware or shareware that can do that?

  • Harmonic balancer broke, drove about 30 miles on it, any harm done?

The harmonic balancer broke (yes broke, not fell off, or slipped, broke) on my 1988 Chevy 1.5 ton dually, it has the 454 in it. I drove it home about 30 miles, so is there any permanent damage done to the engine? And if so, will it cause any further damage to drive it about 20 miles to the nearest auto garage? or should I have it towed.

Also, one last thing, what is the average price to have one replaced, I don't have too much money, only about 1200 to spend freely, and I don't like credit cards either.

  • I need help with an equation.?

Alright, here it is. The problem is as follows "The sum of three numbers is 74. Twice the first number is five more than the second number. The sum of the second and third numbers is twenty more than twice the first number. Find the numbers."

Here are the variables X=first number, Y=second number, Z=third number.

    Here are the equations.

    X+Y+Z=74

    2X-5=Y

    (Y+Z)-20=X

When ever I try to use elimination, all I end up doing is going on in an endless loop. How do I go about solving this problem, I need help!
