I was to pick the focus point myself. I've tried all modes, all AF area modes (a1), all center focus point modes (a3) and have played with the AF-A, AF-C, and AF-S. Yet when I move the arrow keys on any of those settings, the 'focus box' doesn't move. I've looked around google, the manual, and have tried calling the tech line (only to be outsourced to a guy I couldn't understand and who didn't understand me as well).

Am I just not entering the right combination of settings?

I'm bored at work and decided to download Yahoo Messenger. However every chat room I go, no one is chatting, just annoying girls saying they want to talk to guys and strip in front of their web cams.

All of my classes are heavy on article reading. I don't want to print out all these pages just so I can write notes and highlight important passages - especially if I don't have to.

I have a graphic tablet so I'd like to use that to mark notes on my pdf article files.

I've only had luck with opening the pdf file in photoshop, which only allows one page in the window at a time.

Is there anything easier?

I swear I've seen a small bit of Alice in Wonderland's sequel as a cartoon movie. Possibly made by Disney? I am fully aware of Through the Looking Glass (What Alice Found There) as a written text. I am wondering about a cartoon make of a sequel.

I read this manga a couple years ago. It's pretty short, nothing extremely long. Bare with me on this, it's been awhile:

It's in the horror genre, with bloody scenes in it. Everything is drawn beautifully.

I think it had the word "doll" in the title because it mainly revolves around porcelain dolls. (No, it's not "Dolls" where the dolls pick their owners) Not so much dolls as the main character but the idea of them and the history in the family.... confusing, neh?

This one is really dark with murders happening at the beginning, these porcelain figures coming to life and killing.... Kids are on their own because their parents died. ... Either crazy little boy behind everything or crazy older sister. A little girl is the main character. I remember random tidbits but not enough to make coherent sentences. ... even though what I've written isn't coherent.

I'm really sorry but that's all I remember and it's chewing at me. So if anyone can make any sense of this I'd appreciate.

I've looked through the manuals and online but can't find anything. I'm capturing some footage and it keeps cutting short, searching for timecode, so I'm getting several 1-5 second bits of footage when it was all done in one take.

I'm not capturing film, just stuff from my video camera. I am using a 6pin firewire.

I've never had this problem before so I'm a little confused.

My umbrella plant has been overwater (not by me!) and he's still looking sickly, weeks later, only now I'm told he's looking worse. Is there anything that can be done? I'm going to try repotting him in something bigger with some miracle grow (as many of his leaves fell off) and adding much more soil to absorb some water. Can anyone help me on this, as I'm just guessing on what to do to get him better?

Can anyone recommend an inexpensive (less than $120 a night) hotel in Athens that is clean and in good location (walking distance of major sights)?

We're sending our parents there so we would like it to be as nice of a hotel we can get while fitting our price range. The cheaper the better, but we'd like it to still be nice.

I want to say it's in 80's anime style. The storyline (in bits and pieces, it's been more than a decade since I've seen this movie): a princess has to run away from her castle and she takes up being a servant girl for a guy. She has to make wicker baskets and she gets cut often from the wicker snapping back at her. The guy allows her only table scraps to eat. One day she gets fed up and smashes all the baskets. something something something. Turns out, the guy who owned her was a prince, and they end up getting married and yadda yadda yadda.
