Why do muslims want us to change, why not them?

why do muslims flee their countries to escape persecution , only to arrive in england,, receive a better way of life, then start trying to change our way of life to the one they`ve just escaped from?, believe me, i`m trying to understand , but i can`t,,,, what is wrong with these people
