  • What headphones should i buy?

I'm in the market of buying a relatively high-end pair of headphones. I want the best pair of headphones i can buy, under $400. Mainly i will be using these with my ipod and computer so I don't want a pair that needs to have an amplifier. I've done a bit of research and I've come across these:

    Denon - AH-D2000

    Grado - SR325i

    Bowser and Wilkins - P5

    Beyerdynamic - T 50 p

    Shure - SRH940

    AKG - K 702, 601

So, if you own any of these headphones and like em or know of a great pair that fits my description any help would be fantastic. Thank you.

I'm also not trying to get beats.

  • How to derive formula for parabola?

If I am given the focus, directrix, and vertex of a parabola how do I derive the formula?

I know to substitute the vertex for 'h' and 'k' in the formula "y= a(x-h)^2+k" but that leaves me with three variables (x, y, and a). I figure to isolate 'a' i need another point on the parabola and plug that in for x and y but I cant figure out how to do that. Any help would be great.

    1. A train is moving at the rate of 1 mile in 1 minute and 20 seconds. If the train continues at this rate how far will it travel?

    2. Train cars made of blocks of wood either six inches long or seven inches long can be hooked together to make longer trains. Which of the following train-lengths cannot be made by hooking together 6-inch train cas, 7 inch train cars, or a ccombination of both. 29 inches, 30 inches, 31 inches, 32 inches, 33 inches.

    3. A circular track is 1000 yards in circumference. Cyclists A,B, and C race around the track: A at the rate of 700 yards per minute, B at the rate of 800 yards per minute, and C at the rate of 900 yards per minute. If they start at the same position at the same time and cycle in the same direction, what is the least number of minutes it must take before all three are together again
