  • Laptop screen is white??

    I came home tonight to find my laptop (which should have been either on snooze or screen saver) had a completely white screen. I was able to power down and reboot, but got the same problem. Am using a separate monitor now. Any thoughts on what might fix this and what would the cost be? I have a Gateway that is about 4 years old. Is it more cost effective to fix rather than replace?

  • Tire questions?

    I have a 2004 Mazda3s with 46,000 miles on it. Just found out today that my tires need replaced - one is separating and not safe to drive with. We have little to no extra $ for this right now. My husband suggested retreads but I have never heard anything good about that idea. Any other thoughts? Unfortunately the warranty on them was only for 1 year. I think the wear must be due to the fact that I drive 80 miles round trip on mostly country (rough) roads - would that make sense?
