I have a HP TouchSmart tx2z series tablet PC that comes with the fingerprint scanner and a few other cool little built in hardware perks...but it comes with Vista....

My question is, if I load a different operating system (preferably Linux) will i still be able to use the Wacom or the finger print scanner?

Some sort of software available?

(P.S. The space bars on these models suck)

I'm a country boy from a small town in Nevada and next week I'm moving to San Diego for college. I'm going to Platt College which is right down the street from SDSU and what I'm asking is, Where are the places in town I should stay away from? I know how Las Vegas is and Didn't know how San Diego was compared to that. Also where are the places to be? Where does everyone hang out? best resteraunts? stuff like that :)

Im 17 years old and my girlfriend is 18 and weve been dating for about six months now. I really like her and I would do anything. We've fooled around quite a bit but we have never had sex. She got back from church yesterday and had decided that all of our fooling around was wrong and that she wants to stop.. I understand it and I told her this and that i support her decision. But now she has gone into this huge idea that everything is her fault and that she made me feel bad and she hurt me and all of this. I argued with her about it telling her that its not her fault and that she doesnt hurt me and then she says she cannt handle all the arguing. I cannt help but feel bad about everything and i really dont want to lose what we have. I could really use some advice

My xbox connects fine and everything but when i go to create my account it says i need a subscription code to continue...and it gives me the web address for it. The only problem is i cannt get to that website because..wel..im kinda ip banned from certain microsoft websites and im guessing that thats one of them im banned from. Anyways...anyone know a place where i can get subscription codes otherwise?

Anytime i try to connect to something dealing with Windows Live the connection seems to time out. Such as hotmail or Windows Live Messanger. When running the troubleshooter on Windows Live Messanger it says the key ports are blocked. I hit repair and it dosnt repair the problem. Also when I try to connect to hotmail with Firefox or IE(ive tried both) it says "connecting to login.live.com or something like that and then the connection just times out. ANy help would be much appriciated

Okay heres the thing. During the summer i work on a county computer under my highschools network. The problem with this is that my school uses Websense as a web filter. This wouldnt be a problem if it didnt block sites i needed to use for research.(ex. graphics forums, coding forums, ect.) They leave the filter on all summer long.

My question is, is there a way to get passed or shut down this filter WITHOUT using CGI or PHP proxies?

I have a logitech quick cam communicate STX. When someone goes to view my webcam all it shows is black. Any help?

Ill turn it on and the blue light will blink and the tray will pop out. When i press the button again blue light blinks and the tray goes in but the light keeps blinking and shortly the tray pops back out. Ive taken it apart and it seems like it may be a burnt motor somewhere but i hope this isn't it. Any help?

When i plug it in it will not charge. ive tried everything. I even bought a new battery for it. A little help would be nice!
