Gromm's Ghost

Until 2008, I was an enthusiast for Y!A. Took a lot of trouble to provide solid answers, especially to interesting History questions. But I became disappointed and disillusioned with Y!A. The concept was great, as were many of the contributors. But there were also many bad apples who treated Y!A as a Points Game; and had no compunction about cheating to get those worthless points. Bragging rights for born losers, I suppose. Anyway, thoroughly disgusted by the lack of much Yahoo! policing of Y!A, I quit. And I stayed away for 5 years. But then, a chance online encounter with an old, trusted Y!A acquaintance drew me back. I'm told Y!A is cleaner, better now. I hope so. But I'm also older and less energetic. I will not answer many questions on Y!A. Because, I promise you, every one of my answers will be the best, most accurate and most honest that I can deliver. And that takes time ... and the energy that I lack. Gromm
