I stated this before..Its miles and trip meter not working...Speed odometer working fine.

Not sure if its electronic or not.Would like to know the miles I travel.My nephew has a 98 GT and it is the same.Hope someone has ran into this problem and got it fixed without replacing panel.

Yesterday I was about to take off and the car just sat there.Putting in the clutch would bring it back to life.It would not completely shut off.It just bogged out and sat there.Toyota says its probably in the v v t i or v v t l .They say throw away that motor and get a plain GT. This has happened several times in the last few months.It never shuts down.The car just has 94,000 miles on it.What gives?

My Celica sometimes stalls like its running out of gas.It want shut down but it feels like its going to.Toyota told me that it doesn't have an inline filter so I'm at a standstill right now and they are not open today.If any of you have had this problem and know of a fix;I surely would appreciate it.Thanks

Ok;I've got a 2000 Celica GTS.Dealership says V V TL port is clogged and there's hardly any way to fix this problem.I've been told by several people (not certified) different ways of cleaning the sludge out.This is a 2zz engine and it want perform like it needs to unless this is done.The v v ti valve has been replaced.Just wondering if anyone has had this problem and how they might have had it fixed.Toyota told me I could try synthetic oil but be prepared to have oil leaks.Any other suggestions?

Just bought a 2000 GTS 2zz.Just wondering if it came out using reg.gas or prem.The gas door has been replaced so I'm not sure.Thanks for any help.

I have a 2000 Celica with less than 100k. Check engine is on.Code on the computer says its the converter.I've also heard that it could be one of the oxygen sensors.I'm not up to date on a Toyota.Seems like low miles to have to replace a converter.What do you Toyota buffs think?

A friend of mine is restoring a 64 Sports Fury.He doesn't have the motor.There is a way you can look on the plate either on the door or somewhere on the frame.If you know what you are looking for;you can find out the size motor it has.Or so they say.Any help would be appreciated.

94 Miata wants to knock a little after it warms up.It jumped time a few weeks back and I put some miles on it while it was out of time.Timing was set dead on time but after it's drivin a while it starts to ping.Annoying as hell.Some say it is injectors.I dont know if it has a knock sensor or even if thats it.Just wondering if anyone has run into this problem or possibly knows the cure.Thanks.

I put a master cylendar on a 98 Sunfire.Couldn't bench bleed it so its got air in the lines.The pedal want even begin to pump up.This thing has an abs system attached to it.Was wondering if I could get rid of some air and possibly get at least some pedal by bleeding the two bleeders on the abs. Thanks

I know the small trucks and mini vans made by Ford have a lot of noise coming from the power steering box.I've also been told that different additives can quiet them down.I'd just like to hear about some of them. Thanks

My friends Harley has a loud and getting louder gear.I've heard the five speeds are bad for that.He's never added fluid and doesnt know where to.I have mine done at the dealer so I couldnt help him.He's tight so he'll do it himself.Any help out there would be appreciated.

As I cant find a dealer with enough time to see me now;I still have a question.When the weather is cool in the morning the truck shifts good.It's only in the evening when it's hot that the gears lock up.We started to bleed the fluid but its full and doubtful it has air in the line.Wonder if maybe the adjustment is slipping after it gets hot.This truck works too good to have a major problem.I cant get it in to dealer till Wed; so maybe someone has had the same problem before.The clutch releases about half way so it's not wore out.No vibrations when it's released.Just after driving 45 minutes in town it starts to freeze up.Not wanting to go into gear.Who has the magic answer.Ford haters stay out of it.I dont make fun of your choice of car or truck.

I have a 99 ford ranger.When I stopped to back in the driveway the gears locked up.I cut the truck off and it shifted fine.I thought maybe the leavers or linkage could be locking up until I shut it off and shifted. It doesn't have a reservoir under the hood.Seems like it does good when cold but when I took it out and drove for a while;it happened again.Thanks in advance for your input.

I wrote yesterday about a friend with a miss in his 2.5.He said the miss started just before he had it tuned up.I agreed that it might possibly be in the wires.but asked him today and he said the wires were replaced too.The check engine light came on before the tuneup.His friend (a mechanic) put the new plugs and wires on it and said it also needed sensors to put out the light.: and it still has a slight miss.If you hit the gas hard it's gone.Just when you're at a breaking speed you can feel it.I told him to go to Ford and let them scope it.He said he had confidence in one of you possibly having problem like that or simlar to it.He just doesn't have the money to pay ford.Thanks for your help.

A friend has a 99 ranger 2.5 and it has a miss out on the road.It's not bad but noticable.He said he noticed it a while back and put new plugs in it and some kind of censor.You cant feel the miss while its idling.Any ideas? Thanks

I know this is not a question and is in the wrong place but I just wanted to say Happy Mothers Day to all the mothers out there.

Okay here goes.Got a vibration in rear.Feels like a tire out of balance.Got all four speed balanced yesterday and it still vibrates.Even rotated tires and had a front and rear alignment.What else could it be?Anyone else had this problem with a 98-2000?Any help appreciated.
