Do you think that Atticus Finch was an overall good parent to Jem and Scout and why do you think so?

I have to write an essay on my opinion, I think that he was a very good father to them. He may not have been able to play games with them all the time or have time to do many things with the two kids but he tried his best to raise Jem and Scout. He had a great relationship with his kids and for a single parent, he did mighty fine.

I just thought it would be interesting to hear others opinions.
