How do I get rid of this pop up without disabling access that I have chosen to give to my mail

When using the "select all" option I get the following message. " this folder contains 1 hidden files. If you want to select these files as well, enable viewing of hidden files in the Folder Options control panel"

I know that there is a hidden index file. I do not want it selected and would like the computer to function as if this file was not present. Windows XP SP3. Files are hidden, system files are protected know file types is turned off.

I would appreciate any suggestions.

All:

I own and 1997 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder. The other day my son left my headlights on and ran the battery down. I have done this twice myself.

I also own 2 1994 Mitsubishi Diamantes and both have automatic off headlights.
