What is a quick and (sorta) easy way to record cassettes to PCs?
3 AnswersOther - Computers1 decade agoIs the band "Cool for August" still together in any form?
They were based out of Atlanta, and I think "Grand World" was their only record, but it seems to me they made a tour stop at Amos' South End in Charlotte a couple of years ago.
1 AnswerMusic2 decades agoDoes anyone remember good radio?
It's an "opinion only" question kids.
As a 45 year-old, I've caught a few waves as far as radio and musical tastes are concerned.
These days, there are only three radio stations...wherever you are...the rock station (in whatever variation), the country station (which isn't even country if you're my age), and the adult alternative station...all of them probably owned by Clear Channel.
My '60s and early '70s were pop AM radio.
My mid to late '70s were progressive underground.
My entire '80s were the '80s and cocaine.
My early to mid 90s jacked on Alternative (and it worked, too).
After that, it all went to hell.
Deregulation took over, and it all sounded the same, no matter what kind of music you were listening to.
Tell me about "your" radio...some memories...mebbe some songs and where you heard them.
I'm not offering best answer carrots, but big props to big participants...use your edit and additional details buttons.
Keep this thread alive.
Way more later.

I've recently purchased an MS Wireless Comfort Keyboard 1.0A, and the SOB is like trying to type through eggshells...the space bar is especially bad.
As dumb as the question sounds, is there anything I can do to loosen this damned thing up?

It's baseball season again, and although I like sushi very much, I can't get into it as a mid-game repast.
There's only two true baseball foods. Peanuts and hot dogs.
Peanuts aren't very noteworthy unless you get the flavored or spiced kind. And only if they light your *** on fire are they noteworthy at all.
It's hot dogs that are the gourmet nourishment at all ball parks.
So, have at you. What's your fave mystery meat blend in a skin, and whaddya have on 'em?
Here are mine:
As it used to be at old War Memorial in Greensboro, Curtis or Carolina Pride all the way (mustard, onions, and slaw with Texas Pete), and at two un-named ball parks in the midwest, Hebrew National all the way (northern style...hot mustard, kraut, and any available hot pepper).

Originality and smartassiness are pluses.

2 AnswersBaseball2 decades agoCan anyone define for me USB 2.0?
I have two Dell XPS T800r
...one in my office...one in my workshop.
I would like to copy my mp3 files onto one of those...I don't know what they're called...little storage things that plug into your USB port...so I can move them out onto my shop computer.
All these little devices are descibed as USB 2.0.
Do my six year old computers' USB ports have any way of supporting the 2.0 thing?
I've been told both yes and no.
No...as in...no way in hell.
Yes...as in...download the driver.
Which is correct?
13 AnswersOther - Hardware2 decades agoIs there anyplace left to d/l Tiger Woods '04 add-on courses and architect libraries?
Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2004 is the last EA golf game my PC can handle. I lost my whole add-on archive and want to build it up again (especially now since I have broadband).
There used to be one site where all this stuff was available, but I cannot remember what it was or if it even still exists.
