In my 1983 Bayliner Capri, I have a 5.7 volvo penta (basically a 350 chevy) that hasn't been run in about a year. Do y'all think it's okay to run the engine (not the prop) for a few minutes for a test?

I have heard that if a person purchased a high capacity magazine (specifically for an AR-15) before the year 2000, it is legal to possess and use in the state of California. This is based off of California penal code 12020 (2).

I would like to know if it is legal to ride in the back of a pickup truck off of "highways", like on country roads, not in the city. I currently live in Texas where it is legal catch a ride in the bed of a pickup. Here is what the California vehicle code says:

Carrying Persons in the Back of a Motor Truck

23116. (a) No person driving a pickup truck or a flatbed motortruck on a highway shall transport any person in or on the back of the truck.

(b) No person shall ride in or on the back of a truck or flatbed motortruck being driven on a highway.

I have a car that is stuck in first gear. When i depress the clutch and try to put it in neutral, the stick just doesn't move. What needs to be replaced and/or fixed? It's an 1988 Fiero GT if that makes any difference.

There is this girl in one of my classes. We have never really talked to each other but I do know from what I hear she is a nice, Christian girl. I catch her staring at me sometimes when I just look around the room and then immediatly she plays with her hair when she sees me looking. But she is too shy to really come up to me and at least talk. I also like her but really, I can't ever get alone with her as when the class is over, she always sticks around her friends when walking to lunch.

She has a bunch of friends in that class and I think that is one of the reasons why she is hesitant about talking with me. I would be the one starting the conversation but, we sit on the other side of the classroom from each other. She has had a boyfriend before and as far as I know, she wasn't hurt during that relationship.

So my questions are, why is she being she so odd about it and two, what can I do to at least talk with her?

I dont see her anyother time but when we pass by each other.
