  • Weird rash on arm? Help would be awesome!!!?

Hey, I saw I had this strange rash on my arm yesterday. It's red, and almost closed off but not quite. Think a really thick letter "C" or something. It's not flaky, it doesn't itch or hurt, and not raised or bumpy. Any ideas? What should I do about it?

  • Help with maybe yeast infection?

I have a slight itch, but there is no odor. It's the discharge that's making me question. It's not "cottage cheesy" in the sense that everyone says. It's white, but barely, and is in tiny loose clumps, more like dots. Is this just a very mild yeast infection? Any advice?

  • Is a journalist a realistic job?

Would I have to have a degree in journalism? Is this a realistic job market for a college grad?

I have no problem with working my way up or working for small papers/news stations/ etc. I just want to know if this is a reasonable thing.

  • How long after finishing the Monistat 3 treatment do I have to wait before I can have sex?

I took it Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday night. Now it is Thursday night, and I'm no longer experiencing any symptoms. If we use a condom, will it be okay?

  • Do I start the next pack of birth control?

I've finished the inactive pills, but my period is still going. Do I start the next pack anyway?

  • How likely is it that I'm pregnant?

I'm on birth control, but during the second week I dropped a pill down the drain. I was told to just continue to the next pill and my period would start on a Saturday instead of Sunday. But now it's Sunday night, and I still haven't gotten my period. I feel bloated, like I should get my period soon, but I also fainted briefly this morning, which I'm told is a sign of pregnancy. This has never happened to me, but I'm far more scared of being pregnant.

I take my pills at the same time, every day, no exceptions.

  • Pain all the way up my leg from a blister?

I just woke up from a pain that runs all the way up my leg from a blister on my ankle. It's a deep pain, not on the skin or anything, and I can barely walk. I've popped the blister, but the pain is still there. What should I do?

  • How do I go about getting birth control?

I'm 18, but obviously still dependent upon my parents' insurance. I am having sex and don't want to get pregnant, but I also suffer from excruciating cramps on my period. I've heard that birth control can help with that...

I would just talk to my mom about it, but my parents are very religious and against premarital sex. So how do I go about getting it? How much does it cost? I know I should see a doctor, but my parents will know because of the insurance, won't they?

I know these all probably seem like dumb question from a teenage girl, but they are real questions, so please give me real answers.

  • My screen turns aqua.... help?

The screen on my new laptop recently started tinting aqua at random intervals. It only lasts a few seconds, but it reoccurs no matter what I do. I've scanned for viruses, restarted, checked the display options, and everything is normal. Suggestions?

  • Am I totally screwed? iPod Music is Gone?

I downloaded the newest version of iTunes, and then my iPod started freaking out a little bit, so I restored it like usual. Only, iTunes didn't back it up like it was supposed to. I was "looking forward" to manually downloading all my songs back on again, but instead MY ENTIRE ITUNES LIBRARY WAS DELETED. What the heck? I've already checked through Windows Explorer and everything, the original files are not there, and iTunes has wiped them. What do I do?

  • Can somebody give me some answers?

I've been trying to lose weight for a few months now, and the results have been remarkably discouraging. I've been exercising, running for 4+ miles, about every other day and counting my caloric intake. The problem is that I lose and gain weight at completely unpredictable intervals. In a day I drop up to two pounds without trying anymore than usual, and then four days later I gain it back when I didn't stop exercising or obeying my caloric intake. After all this time of hard work, I stay solidly within two pounds from where I started. I just don't understand.

This is all coupled with some information my mother gave me. She was the same way when she was my age, as was her cousin. Then, as soon as they got pregnant and gave birth, they dropped an amazing number of pounds, becoming a way healthier weight than they were before they got pregnant. This is definitely a hormone thing, right?

I'm 17, not obese, but on the borderline for being overweight. I'm about 5'7" and 158 lbs. So I know my BMI is fine, but I'd rather be a fitter, healthier individual.

  • "Hey baby, can I see what's under your radical?" I don't understand this math joke. Someone help!?

I know what a radical is, and how it is used. I also know this joke is dirty. I've just failed to make the connection. Could someone explain this to me?

  • Why couldn't James or Lily be their own Secret Keepers?

I've been searching for this for a while, and I can't seem to get a plausible answer. People keep saying that you have to trust someone else to keep the secret, but we see in OOTP that Dumbledore passes into Grimmauld place all the time, and he is the Secret Keeper. If it is just the fact that James and Lily are people and Grimmauld Place is, in fact, a place, then why not put it on their house?
