So this guy is one of my really good friends. He told me a few days ago about this crush he had on a really popular girl, and I encouraged him to talk to her. He did and soon found out she was kinda dating someone else. He was heartbroken, especially since he had told her he liked her. So now he's sad about it, and says he really wants to talk to her...but what I realized after giving him all the advice about the girl is that I kinda sorta like him. I've been encouraging him not to let this one girl bring him down-- especially because she ignored him completely after finding out that he liked her, which I thought was pretty mean-- and to try to have some fun and move foward. Oh, keep in mind, I don't think he has any clue that I have feelings for him. Today though, my friend said, "You know...that girl isn't really worth your time....but I think you and (my name) should go out! What a cute couple!" and he just didn't really say anything....(thats good, right?? i guess...idk!!!)Now I feel like Taylor swift in "you belong with me!" hahah, but seriously...there's a party this saturday and we usually have a lot of fun when we're together, and i was hoping this would be an opportunity for him to forget about his old crush and maybe see me in a different light. Any advice?

I need to cut out the middle of a song so I can burn it onto a CD...do you know of any programs that could work? Preferably for Macs? I mean, any programs on Windows are okay too, but I would much prefer a Mac program bc/ my song is on iTunes.....

I have tried nearly everything-- shaving, waxing, smooth away, and hair removal creams. Nothing seems to work for me. My legs are super sensitive and I have thick, dark hair...I get cuts easily and they look ugly and I like hate wearing skirts and shorts, but I have to bc/ of school uniform...any help here?

On the box it says that your results will be best if the hairs are 1/4" or longer...just out of curiosity, does it still work well if it is shorter than 1/4"? Because I want to try it today, and I have some pretty thick stubble but it's not quite 1/4"....thanks

Well, I've liked this guy (call him.....Bob lol) for a few weeks now, and we were really good friends. We slow danced at a party, and after that, he started acting like he liked me-- you know, he'd talk to me every day, he would be super nice, he would flirt a little. So yeah, we became closer friends, and I thought, "Wow, I really like him." But recently, one of my other guy friends figured out that I liked Bob. So, he was asking me about it one day, and this girl who is a grade below us, overheard. Then, she saw Bob and told him (in front of TWO of his own friends who also are sorta my friends). And he apparently said, "Yah, I knew that all along. I don't like her." But I thought this was so weird, because he had wanted me to know that he liked a girl in OUR grade...and he also wouldn't tell anyone in our class what kind of hair she had because it would be too obvious (I have curly hair, which is pretty rare in my school.) Anyway, it's tough for me to realize that he doesn't like me...and it just disappoints me, because he is my friend, and I really thought he liked me, and now what do we do?

I mean, today at school, I just like didnt start any conversations with him, but he tried talking to me. He never realyl did that before we danced at the party, which made me think "This is impossible...he has to have some feelings for me." And seriously, if he doesn't like me, I can't possibly imagine who else he would like that would fit all those hints. But then I think, I'm just desperate, or trying to keep myself happy with hope. So now I don't know what to do. I mean, seriously, I should be REALLY happy right now-- other than this, I know I have a really good life. I have really good friends, grades, and I have the lead in the school play....I try not to focus on the bad, but whenever he talks to me, it's like "Well...my life isn't that amazing," which sucks, because before I heard that he said he didn't like me to that girl and his friends...well, I could seriously smile THE WHOLE DAY. I hear that things only get worse as they are about to get better. But I don't know what to do until then. Like I said, I try focusing on school and my theater life, but whenever he comes up, it's just like the scratching record sound, you know what I mean? What should I do??

I have a problem with keeping secrets from my friends. Even though I know that they will probably tell the guy that I like that I like him or something, I can't help but tell them. They give me really good advice with the guys, but I later feel bad about it when they give the guy I like WAAAAAAAAAAY too many hints that I like him. Now, once again, I like a new guy and I told my friend. This friend then calls me and tells me that this guy says he likes two girls. Later, I find out that is NOT how the convo went down-- apparently, the guy said he thought two girls were cool, but he didn't really like them. And then my friend has the guts to tell me, "Oh, well you just don't understand him. He likes them, he just won't admit it." Ugh, I can't stand this anymore-- my friends make me tell them my secrets, they give me GREAT advice, but then they screw everything up, lie about it, and then come up with some stupid apology that makes me regret ever telling them the secret. I really liked this guy, and now I'm not sure what to do. Bc/ this friend could also be lying and I just don't know what to believe. Any help on how to deal with this kind of problem?

See, the thing is...I get it. I really understand all the concepts and how to do everything in algebra. It's just that I always make stupid calculation mistakes during quizzes. My average is a 90, which is still good, but I want to bring it up to possibly a 96. I know that if I ace my next few quizzes/tests, I can do it. But I don't know how to do that without making stupid calculation mistakes. Most of the times, I rush (but then I check my work)...so that might be it, but I'm not quite sure how I can fix this. Help, please??? Thanks :-)

Ok, well at school today, I found out that I have like no classes with the people I used to hang out with a lot last year...everyone in fact agreed that they were separated and put into a totally new group. I know the school is trying to get us to make new friends and stuff, but last year, everyone already knew each other...its just that the people i have classes with this yr are people i wouldn't normally hang out with, and it sort of feels awkward. I had these huge plans for this yr, i was so excited, but now I'm not. What can I do to make this year not totally suck???? Thanks :-)

It seems to me that all my AIM buddies or Facebook friends have a habit that I consider to be extremely rude. On Facebook, for example, I always see pictures from somebody's party. Often, the comments include, "OMG that party was awesome!!" But has it occurred to any of the people posting the pictures that not EVERYONE was invited? OK, so I've been included in many parties this year, but when someone posts pictures of a party that I wasn't invited to, and I see how awesome it was...it hurts. Especially when you think that you guys are really good friends. AND when that person is AWARE that some ppl weren't invited to that event, and will see the pics. Whatever. Has this ever happened to you? How did you react? A part of me REALLY wants to post a comment saying something like, "Oh, what a cool party! It's too bad some of us here weren't able to join in..." Bc/ whether it's their away message on AIM ("o, im goin to so-and-so's party :)"), or pics on Facebook, it is RUDE. What do you say?
