  • Cant seem to get enough to drink?

Im 24 weeks pregnant with baby # 4, for the past few days it seems like i just cant get enough water to drink. I will stand at the kitchen sink and literally fill up a glass of water and chug it, refill it and chug another. Some times it seems like i cant drink it fast enough. I have 2 rubbermaid drink containers in the fridge filled with water, they are 20oz each. in a days time i will drink 4-5 of those and still feel like im dehydrated, is this normal? I don't ever remember feeling like this with any of my other pregnancies. whats going on?

Has anyone else felt like this?

  • would you take your sick kids trick or treating in cold and rainy weather?

we live in ny, the weather is calling for cold and rain and possibly some lake effect snow. my kids have been sick all week with strep and a horrible virus and i don't think its the greatest idea to take them out, i promised them we would do something special when everyone feels better, kids get to plan the entire day! the kids are totally fine with not going tonight, i explained to them they still need to rest and getting cold and wet is not the best idea. what would you do in this situation? am i making the best choice?

  • Pros and Cons of a epidural? Please help!!?

So im about 17 weeks along with baby # 4, I have never had a epidural with any of the my other kids, I have always been horrified of the thought of that needle in my back. My deliveries drug free have always been pretty fast, 3 pushes at the most, even with my son who was over 9 lbs (and im tiny 5'4 and 110 lbs not pregnant).

Last year i was rushed to the hospital with what I thought was the swine flu, turned out i t was bacterial spinal meningitis and encephalitis, the had to give me a spinal tap and i was once again horrified. For the moms who have had a epidural was your experience good or bad? was it as painfull as the spinal tap i had or nothing like it? Im thinking about one this delivery but I know I don't want to push for a very long time like all the other stories i have heard,I just want the delivery over as fast as possible. HELP what would you do?

  • what does this sound like to you???

for the last few days i have been feeling pretty horrible. not last night but the night before i was hot and cold, and didn't sleep well. all day yesterday it felt like some one had my spine in a vice grip and trying to tear my spine out. my skin is pain full to the touch almost like a sunburn and my vision is weird too. its 75 here today and im wrapped up in 3 blankets like im in the middle of the north pole or something.

at first i thought i just pulled a muscle in my back playing or lifting my 2 yr old but now i feel like my skin is on fire but yet under my skin i have a horrible chill. last night after about a hr after i fell asleep i woke up and i was drenched in sweat like i just got out of the pool. i felt better this morning but as the day has gone on im starting to feel pretty lousy again. whats wrong with me?? should i go see a dr or suck it up?? my entire body hurts like i got hit by a dump truck and i cant even stand long enough to wash a few dishes.

  • could my daughter have acid reflux?

my daughter turned 2 just yesterday and i have noticed for a wile now that she has been throwing up for no reason.I always thought she would grow out of it as a baby since she was a baby that spit up alot. she also turns away things to eat even though i know she is hungry, and she is always kinda cranky. She also gets these really hard hiccups mixed with a hard burp, they also seem to hurt her.

She constantly is sucking down drinks like its the last one she will ever get.

Last week i took her to the Dr's for a check up and i wanted to tell her dr about it but it totally slipped my mind since i was so caught up in talking about her speech delay issues. It took me a few days to realize that this was not normal. After talking to a few other moms they also think it could be reflux. I called this morning and her dr wants to see her first thing in the morning.

Am i wasting the Dr's time or is this something more? what do you think? Any one else have a child with reflux?

I have 2 other kids and i have never been anything like this. what should I expect? Could this a cause to her speech delay also? she has a evaluation on wednesday to see if she will need early intervention services.

Thank you for taking the time to read this.

i posted this in parenting earlier but not many answers..sorry for posting it again.

  • How would you handle this if it happened to you child?

My girls got this for a christmas present from a family member

    http://shop.nickjr.com/product/index.jsp?productId...

Sunday night my little girl was in the tub and we were playing with the foam and yesterday morning she woke up PLASTERED in hives..head to toe. i cant even begin to tell you how bad she is covered. This is by far anything i have ever seen before. she has hives in her hair line, beyond her diaper area, her armpits are swollen because the hives are so bad. I have called nick jr and left messages with them. still no response. I called her dr several times but they just keep telling me to give her a dose of benedryl. Im thinking my next step is to take her to the er. what would you do?
