Internet Explorer will no longer open since I installed Yahoo Toolbar. I open it and it immediately says it has encountered a problem and needs to close. How can I fix this?

My kids dad lives in another country and his girlfriend lives in the same state that we do. He said that she was sending a birthday gift to our son from him. Fine I have no problem with that. Then he calls me on our son's b-day and asked if she can bring it over. Had a little problem with that but we had plains already and was not going to be home anyway. So I tell him to have her mail it like he said she would. When the gifts arrives one is from him and one is from her and her son. She has ment my child twice, once when I asked her to come along on one of dad's visits when we both had to be at something. The other time is when my kid's dad took him to his familys for an event. I am a little upset. I feel she has no right to send my kid gifts. He doesn't even know her what should I do?
