xbox 360 live fails at IP when connected to router.

it will connect if directly connected to the DSL modem

but if I do that then I can not use my Pc

I just reconfigured my modem and did all the suggestions on xbox 360.com even called xbox suport- no help what is wrong in my router that is keeping me from connecting.

My DSL connection went down yesterday and AT&T had to come out and fix a line issue. now my Son's Xbox live will not connect anymore it fails at DNS

I have the computer set up in one room connecting wireless and the xbox running to a router as well as the DSL modem connecting to the router as well- same set up for years what do I need to do to get this back up and running

it is telling me I must boot from my recovery disk..however I believe my drives are hosed and wont read anything is there anything left I can try or is this computer done for? its about 3 years old and I would like to save it if at all possible as a second computer. Thanks for any ideas!!
