I just came home from flying over 10 time zones and my mind and body are zonkers. Have you got a method for reducing jet-lag?

The Barcelona Galeria Art-Works SL and its dealer Toni Van Schaik have disappeared along with my 6 paintings and the art of about 20 other artists. We have reported this to the Barcelona police.

Have you had a gallery scam you? If so, what steps did you take to get your work back?

I just finished my first 2 dolls and had a wonderful time making them. They are art dolls that combine the characteristics of humans, sheep and cats. Are there any websites you know of that show art dolls and have tips for using Cernit?

Today, I am on the edge of my sanity.

Pressure from multi-tasking on the job has got me down and my husband is no help at all. I burst into tears twice today (not in front of anyone, though!). It's one of those days where it seems the whole universe conspires against me.

How can I get back in the flow?

How do you get back in the flow after being on the edge?

Here's a favorite of mine from H.L. Mencken...

When thinking about politicians I am reminded of Nietzsche's quote...

"I looked for great men, but only found the apes of their ideals".

I find this case VERY bizarre. What circumstances would cause an individual to be a cannibal by choice.... or to be the willing victim of a cannibal?

After watching CNN or the BBC news I get so depressed over the world situation, the cruelty of people toward each other and the controlled dramas of governments that I feel like I need a hit of chocolate.

Is it mainly young people who are curious or making jokes? I just don't see the necessity for puerile discussions about it.

Orphanages or foster care family homes?

I used to think that foster care was the better system of providing a home environment for abused, abandoned or orphaned kids, but now I'm not so sure.

Looking at the Boystown model and other orphanages of that sort the children are not bounced around from place to place. They have a routine in daily living and the stability of caring staff that provide consistency of care. Government social services regularly monitor the care provided, similar to homes for the aged.

The foster care system provides neither stabilty nor consistency. Many children end up living in multiple homes and have little chance to bond with care providers. It is almost impossible to monitor the quality of care by social services.

What system do you advocate?

I read a government report on prison population statistics from 2002 that stated the following...

By midyear 2002, America's jails held 1 in every 142 U.S. residents. Males were incarcerated at the rate of 1,309 inmates per 100,000 U.S. men, while the female incarceration rate was 113 per 100,000 women residents.

Surely the stats are higher now!

Why are so many people resorting to crime in America?

I sure would....

First wish: A magic wallet... everytime I opened it there would be a $20 bill.

Second wish: Unlimited airplane tickets for 2...for life.

Third wish: A gorgeous new studio complete with art supplies for life.

I sure do. Sometimes my well-being depends on doing childish things. For example, I have a collection of very small stuffed animals and when feeling insecure I'll pop one into my hand bag for the day. Childish, really. But it makes me feel better.

Sometimes I have to eat something like peanut butter.... or applesauce mixed with cottage cheese.... as these things are comfort foods from childhood.

Do you do something childish?

Time capsules were all the rage some 20-30 years ago.

List the contents of your time capsule (shoe box size) to be buried today and dug up 100 years from now.

Is that really possible? Or just another unattainable ideal?
