I bought a used computer that does not have an operating system. I would like to load XP, but I am having a problem. I did not get any software or hardware except for the tower. I plugged in the VGA cable to the computer and my TV. I plugged in power and I got my LEDs to light up, the fans start to run, and I am able to open my DVD drive.

The problem is that I don't get a signal to the monitor, my lights to not light up on my keyboard, and I don't think that it is reading the install disc that I have in the drive. I don't think that it is booting at all, and I don't think that it is even getting to the BIOS.

I am wondering if I am having a motherboard issue, or if it is something that is an easy fix. I have only ever used Apples, and I have never had problems like this before. What do you think. I have heard something CMOS and other things, but I am not sure as to what I should do.

So I just moved in to an apartment and within a month the sink clogged and the bathtub clogged. I have never had a problem like this before, but it is an older shotgun apartment in Chicago so I would guess that the pipes could use a little love and care.

The bathroom sink I was able to snake, but I can't seem to snake the bathtub. I get in about a foot and a half and it stops. I rotate the auger and it still won't go. I have pulled a good amount of hair out of there from where I could get to, mostly what I think is cat hair, but it is still clogged. Anyone have any answers?

I am wondering what is going on at U of I for Halloween weekend. I am going to be visiting a friend and I don't know what bars I should go to, or if anything cool is going on. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

I am looking for a place where I can find Rap and Hip Hop artist performing in Chicago on a regular basis. I don't know of any clubs off the top of my head, but mostly I am looking for the smaller guys that have not hit the national circuit yet.

I would like to be John C Rilley's character Cal Naughton Jr. for Halloween, but I need to have curly hair to do so. Currently I have hair that is really straight and soft. I was told that because my hair is so soft that it might not hold a perm, is this true? Could there be another way that I can get the curls of John C Rilley?

My hair is also really healthy and while it does not bother me too much that a perm will damage my hair, I would rather figure out a better way to get the curls if I could. Any help out there?

Was it written for the commercial, or is it on an album that I can purchase? If anyone out there can help, I would be greatful.

I have Bruce Chen. He is young and looks to be getting better. Greg Maddux is availible. I know that he was great, but do you think that he still has it this year. Should I drop Chen and pick up Maddux for my fantasy league? I am in a Rotiss League, so it is points per rack in each stat.
