I love life! I have a wonderful spouse that I met while I was in the Marine Corps. He still proudly serves. We have four beautiful children that keep us really busy. I am a grad student at UWM in the Ed Dept. I love to read, surf the net, and watch or go to NASCAR races with my husband. Go Elliot Sadler!

  • Would you ever support going to war?

In your mind, when would it be legal to go to war against another country/nation?

  • Why don't people understand that this could have happened anywhere?

I have been watching the news concerning the Virginia Tech shootings, and CNN had a question about attending Tech in the future. On h.s. senior responded and said that no way would she attend Tech. Why doesn't she understand that the same thing could happen at any university?

  • Does it make you angry? Media putting words in a person's mouth.?

I have been watching the coverage of the Virginia Tech shootings. It is fairly obvious, to me anyway, that the media is trying to get students to say that they feel unsafe at Tech. I have yet to hear one student blame Tech for the issue that have taken place this year, but it really angers me that the media is trying to put words in their mouths. What do you think? Do you feel the same way?

  • Why do people blame the members of the military?

I understand that the current situation in Iraq is less than popular. I don't want to hear your opinions on that.

What I want to know is why people are so intent on blaming and bad mouthing the members of the U.S. military. Aren't they just doing what they are told to do? Isn't that the whole point of having a military? Do people really think that the military members should just say "No, sorry. Not today."?

Is anyone else sick and tired of reading all of these posts about how terrible our men and women in uniform are or is it just me?

  • How do you explain to others that each branch of the service is dfferent?

I am a military spouse, and I understand why people are upset about the recent announcement that the Army is going to be extend its tours to 15 months. But, I am sick and tired of hearing/reading about people comparing the Army to the Marine Corps and its deployments. How do I explain the difference to people? Why don't people understand or care that the Marines have smaller units? Do they not realize that the Marines have shorter deployments but are home for a much shorter period of time? Can people not do the math and realize that both groups are actually over in Iraq for the same period of time in a four year enlistment?

Please understand that I do not want to mimize what either group does. I just want people to understand that both groups are making sacrifices, just in different ways.

Army - longer deployments, longer time at home

Marines - shorter deployments, shorter time at home

I am not sure which one would really be better.

  • If you think you have had a gall bladder attack, how soon should you see your doctor?

I have had these "attacks" since December. Adding fiber to my diet has helped, but I am still having them. I have done research on the Internet, and I am sure I am having gall bladder attacks. My doctor won't see my for over a week. Is that okay, or should I go to the ER if I have an attack between now and then? The pain is awful, lasts for hours, and makes me feel like crap the next day.
