  • Another MS Word docx question. Urgent Help Please!?

My friend did her CV on her laptop using Word 2007. I made changes/made it look better, saved to my memory stick & emailed from my computer to the employer last night. Closing time for applications is 5pm tonight.

The company have emailed back as they cannot open it. I downloaded the converter but since I don't have MS Word at all on my computer it's not working. Is there anything I can do at this end? Or will I have to wait til my friend gets home from work and save it as a .doc file on her laptop? She will miss the job deadline if that's the case :(.

Any advice/suggestions would be most welcome.

  • Best treatment for dry lips?

My 8yr old daughter constantly has chapped, sore lips. She keeps licking them and drying them out even though we put copious amounts of vaseline on them. Any suggestions?

  • How often should I take my 18 month old Westie for walks?

I take him out 5/6 times a day for a ten/fifteen minute walk as well as a long walk around the park (about 45 mins). Is this too much? Not enough? My other half says it's too much and I'm spoiling him???

  • Should I stay friends with my ex Sister in Law?

I have been best friends with my sister-in-law pretty much all my life and it was through me that she met and married my brother. They were married for 15 years and split up last year (infidelity on her part). My brother is totally incensed with rage that I still keep in touch with her.

Our friendship is, and never will be, the same as it was. We don't talk regularly, maybe once a month and haven't been out together since the split.

I think we should try to keep things as 'normal' as possible as there are children involved. She took my daughter to see a movie last week and my brother is really angry with me, he said a lot of terrible things. He has been so hurt by what happened and he wants me to hate her as much as he does. But I don't.

  • Re: Help!! Photodownloads?

I work for a cash strapped charity, we don't have a digital camera, I cannot download ANYTHING from the internet. Only point to and save images as a bitmap.

I am looking for help from anyone who could advise a website where I can copy photographs.

The charity is for people who suffer from mental health problems and I am finding it difficult to get suitable photographs (eg post natal depression, suicide, etc) - obviously I cannot TAKE photographs in this instance (even if I did have a digital camera!).

  • Help!! Photo Downloads?

I'm looking for a decent website where I can get access to free photos for a newsletter. I do not have admin priviledges so limited access. Most of the websites I've looked at require registration and other such nonsense. Any help much appreciated!
