  • Bad credit mortgage lenders?

Can anyone help me locate lenders that are willing to loan to people with bad credit (only bad due to NOT having credit cards!), and only a small down payment? I know they still exist, but need some leads.

  • High blood sugar and menstrual cycles, or early menopause?

Does anyone here know if having a spike in blood sugar can bring on a period? I had a problem yesterday where my blood sugar spiked. I got really sick from it, and today I started my period, but I'm not due to start for two more weeks. My husband's 1st wife was diabetic and said she had a lot of problems with her cycles due to this, but it doesn't seem that it spiking once would cause this. So, I'm trying to figure out if it's due to blood sugar or possibly signs of early menopause. Two months ago, I skipped a month, so something is out of whack. Any personal situations like this? I had gestational diabetes with my son two years ago, so the possibility of diabetes is there. However, I check periodically and haven't had a problem, until yesterday, when I ate something that spiked it.

Only homeschoolers answer, please. We are considering moving to Lancaster area, and I want to know how L.A. County is in regards to being harsh on homeschoolers. Anyone here with personal experiences? I currently live in San Bernardino County, and want to know if L.A.C. is harder to homeschool in before deciding to move there.

  • Wrap-around services for San Bernardino County?

Has anyone here who lives in San Bernardino County dealt with wrap-around services for their special needs child? What was your experience? I'm concerned that it is through the child services, fearful that that is too closely related to CPS. This question is for a friend who's son is 8 and has Asperger's, OCD, and ODD. How do you go about trying to get these services?

  • '99 Dodge Caravan?

We're considering buying a Dodge Caravan, and I'm looking for anyone who has had experience with one, good or bad. What do you have to say about them? Are they dependable? Are the parts to replace expensive? Any help is appreciated.

  • Hoarding food in mouth?

Does anyone know WHY an autistic child will hoard food in his mouth? My neighbor's son, who I babysit, is mildly autistic. He will eat anything, at any time of the day. He has been known to hide food in his mouth if not caught, and even slept the whole night two nights ago with chewed nuts in his cheeks, didn't choke, and still had them in his mouth when he came over to my house. Does anyone WHO DEALS WITH AUTISM know why this happens?

  • Ferrets as pets?

I want to hear from Ferret owners only, please. I have a 4 and a 2 yr old, and have the opportunity to get a ferret from someone. I'm wondering, do they make good pets for small children, with supervision of course, or are they better for older kids and adults?

  • Yahoo mail problems, character string?

I need to know how to contact Yahoo, without going through their help section... it's useless. EVERY TIME I send an email, just generic emails, not to several people at once but only one person at a time, whether composing a new message or replying to one, no attachments or anything, I'm having to enter that character string. This has been going on for about three days now, and it's getting old. Today I wrote one and tried to send it, it didn't accept what I put in and deleted my mail. Does anyone know how to contact Yahoo, where I can actually get a human being?

  • Need computer help for videos?

I am trying to put together a video that I can send to people who request it, online. The video I'm wanting to use is on a standard vhs cassette, my camcorder is the small one. How do I do this? Would I just transfer it to a DVD, or can you use a DVD in the computer? New to this stuff, help! After that, what do I do so that I can just send it to people?

How much is there to do for a 2 and a 4 yr old at Disneyland? Is it worth paying the outrageous prices for just a few rides, or is there actually a lot for the little guys?

  • Vaccine-Religious exemption question, CT?

Ok, do NOT reply to give your personal opinions, I'm looking for facts here. Not too long ago, a law changed saying that religious exemptions for vaccines no longer require that you belong to a church that holds your beliefs. Does ANYBODY have a link to this? I cannot find it anywhere now! Also, I need to hear from those in CT who chose the exemption, that don't belong to a church that is opposed to vaccines. What did you have to do, how hard was it to get the exemption? I'm trying to find out for some friends on a group I belong to.

  • Unassisted childbirth?

Is there any support on the web for those interested in unassisted childbirth, like email groups? The few I found, weren't what I'm looking for, I'm not into the AP groups, just one that focuses only on UC. Any ideas?

  • Almost two yr old plays harmonica?!?

The boy I babysit will be two in Sept, and he can play the harmonica. I mean PLAY it, not just make noise. He knows how to move it across his mouth making the different notes. He has SID with signs of autism, so we were wondering if maybe he will be a savant. Nobody has worked with him on this, he just picked it up and started doing it. Developmentally, for those who know, is this normal, or an amazing talent?

  • For CA speech therapists, or those that KNOW?

Please, do NOT answer this unless you really KNOW, I get so tired of stupid answers. In CA, or anywhere else, don't know if this is a state issue or not, can things like speech therapy be enforced, or is that left up the parents to decide? Can it be refused?

Does anybody know if they make a life vest for toddlers that has a tether on it, so that if they fall in the water, you have more control of how far they go? Know where I can find it? Can't find anything online.
