  • Rechargeable batteries don't work in my MP3 player, but normal batteries do?

    It's a Philips GoGear, and has no problem running on even the cheapest of single-use AAA batteries.

    My rechargeables are Uniross NiMH, 900mAh (which I thought would be plenty). But when one of the rechargeables is in, the player doesn't even switch on?

    Any ideas, anyone?

  • Can anyone recommend a site which'll give me a decent amount of hosting space?

    I'm going on a longish trip and need to upload very high-res digital photos from internet cafes as I go round, so someone else can download them at home and burn onto CD.

    I need at least 1Gb server space, an upload mechanism which'll work from inside any browser (can't rely on ftp or other s/w being installed), a mechanism to download the files which have been posted, and obviously as cheap (but reliable) as possible.
