I am a happily involved gay man in NC, USA. I am very proud that I am gay and will face anyone who tries to bash me for it. My partner and I are raising my two kids from my past marriage. We hope one day to be married, but at this point in time with all the junk from the judgmental, selfish and ignorant right-wing morons--- looks like it may be a few years.
In North Carolina, how do I sever any association with my parents??? Legally and 100% binding??
My parents have caused me much grief and misery. I don't want to have anything else to do with them and I don't want them to be able to see my kids either....due to the way I was raised....I feel it would be emotionally (not to mention physically) abusive for them to have any contact. There are grandparent rights in North Carolina and I'm curious how to terminate them 100%. Any ideas how to do this???
8 AnswersFamily1 decade agoWhy are there so many difficulties is passing a same-sex marriage law???
If there are so many people that don't have a problem with gays, and all these people vote....then why is there such a problem getting an equal right ammendment passed??? I can't see how two gay men getting married affects anyone else's life. Please don't be ignornat and post a hatred comment...I'll report you for spam.
