My daughter's dad is going on a month vacation back to his home town in Guatemala. We live in the U.S. My baby will be just a year at the time he plans on going on vacation. He keeps hinting that he wants to take her to visit his family and that his family wants to see her. I feel that she is too young to be away from me that long and she is in another country. What if she gets sick or misses me or there are problems with her passport? I don't want him to take her but I have a feeling he is going to fight me on this. How would you feel?

A couple of months ago, I went on a five day vacation with a friend. My son stayed at my house with my brother and my baby stayed with her dad. She was 8 mos old at the time. My daughter's dad has an ex wife and two other children. Her sister adores my baby and wanted her to come over so she could babysit her instead of her going to the sitter's. So my ex brought her over and "Beth" watched my baby with her mom "Shannon". Well, my ex got off of work late and Beth wanted my baby to stay the night so my ex agreed to it. But instead of my baby sleeping with her sister, she slept with Shannon, the ex-wife! I am pretty upset about this. Not only did she sleep in the same bed with Shannon, but she also cradled with my baby all night.

When I brother this to the attention of my ex he said that I was being ridiculous for not liking the situation at all and being furious with him letting this happen. He never listens to my feelings or validates them so I shouldn't be surprised. But I really am upset. Now I won't let my daughter's sister keep her overnight because I KNOW that my ex won't say anything to Shannon about my feelings.

It makes me upset because Shannon isn't the mother to my child and this is afterall, my baby's daddy's ex WIFE. Anybody else think that's weird? Get where I'm coming from? How would this make you feel????

I am expecting another baby. I don't yet know the sex but I wanted to get a vote on some names. Then names have to have the initials A.C. These are 9 names for each I really like. What are your favorites?

Mine is ice cream. there is just something about it...the taste. the texture and the way it feels going down...mmmm...nothing beats it.

Why are so many Americans against America? I love this country and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else. Obviously a lot of other people agree otherwise the country wouldn't be flooded with illegals and non illegals every year. Did you know that we allow more immigrants than any other country in the world. if you aren't proud to be American, go and try to live somewhere else and see how that works for you. the thing about being american, is that we can say what we want about the president and we won't get killed. We can kill someone and get a fair trial. we can sue. we can pray and worship wherever we'd like. we are one of the richest and charitable countries in the world. we have pamphlets and books and maps and boxes, and packages that are written in more than one language. most high schools require that you take a foreign language. The point i'm trying to make is that many other countries don't have these freedoms....why is everyone complaining about America so much?

There is a real reason for this and i'm curious to see if anyone know why...first one to give the answer, or just the best guess...gets 10pts....but you get two just for guessing anyway...

I was watching a special on tv about how they offer 7000 bucks to college aged women to donate some of their eggs to a fertility clinic for women that cannot have kids. Would you do this? Apparantly you have to give yourself daily hormone injections for a week or so and then they remove some of those eggs. I think I would. I mean, I make beautiful, smart children and I am very lucky. Not all women are as lucky as I am and everyone deserves a shot at a family if they want one. Also, for a struggling college student, its not bad pay. What do you think? Do you believe that this is an ethical dillemma? I mean, men donate sperm all the time... I'm curious to know how people feel about this. I know that if it was me, I would be grateful to accept a healthy woman's eggs if I couldn't make healthy ones myself.

Do you have any plans currently? What has been your favorite Mother's Day ever? Mine was last year when my uncle called me and asked me to go with him and my aunt and our kids to the coast. It was a really awesome day. My perfect Mother's Day would be a day of pampering at a spa and then later having a nice meal with the man I love and then later, ice cream with the kids...

I am a 25 year old red head. When I meet a guy in person and start flirting, they almost always ask or hint at the question of whether or not the carpet matches the curtains. Sometimes they ask that exact question, other times they are more subtle and ask if I have always been a true red head. From about fourth grade until around 8th i was called "fire crotch" and i was naive enough (until i was in the 7th grade) to not know what that meant. Then the same people who said those things, wanted to know if it was true. It has always baffled me. Even when I am chatting online, and they ask what color my hair is, and I tell them and it's always the same thing. Why is that? What is the curiosity?

I have a friend who has an older boyfriend (she is 26 he is 40) and they break up and make up every few months. The last time they broke up, I really thought that it was over that time but she broke, and they started sleeping together again and now they are back together. She and I spent a lot of time together while they were broke up and now I haven't seen her for weeks and when I ask her if she wants to hang out, she always says "I need to see what ----- is doing" and we end up never getting together. We even used to have movie night every other friday night and that stopped happening because she invited her man. I like her boyfriend but I think he is a control freak and that she needs to be single for awhile (she wants a child and he never wants anymore, he has two) and try to find someone that wants the same things in his life as she does. I can honestly say that I have never ditched my friends for a guy, but why do so many women do this. im not jealous, i just want my friend.
