  • Obese, having gallbladder removed, and.....?

I'm in my late 30's and have just found out that my gallbladder is full of stones. I have to have it removed and have had some xtra "tests" done due to my size and so far so good all have come back fine. According to my doc-the main thing going against me is my weight. I have a surgeon that sub-specializes in bariatric surgery and he's going to do it liproscopically (assuming it can be done that way when they get in there). Anyway I also suffer from anxiety and have meds for that. My anxiety reached an all time high since I've been given my surgery date. I guess I really don't have a question as much as I'm looking for anyone else who is or has gone throught this situation having some of my similar "details". Thanks for any and all your thoughts.

  • Looking to start a nightclub in a small, boring town?

Have done a lot of research and looking to spice up this town. Due to economic times I'm going to start out small-just some dancing, good music, and to rent out space for private parties, etc. Going to add bar and restaurant later after I get established. The one thing I can't seem to get a figure on is what insurances I'll need to have and a rough idea of the cost. I realize it will change as I hopefully expand the business, but was just trying to get a rough idea for starting out. Thanks for the help.

  • I don't think it's anything serious, but?

Off and on for months I get this weird feeling in my chest. It's not a pain more like a tightening usually center of chest, but I also feel it into "the girls" and it feels like it's near the surface-not a deep sensation. Husband lost his job end of last yr., has a new one, but it was out of the blue and scary, I use to worry, but now it's seems like all the time-I'm always thinking ahead to make sure we have household items stocked up-ready for the next "what if". Yes, I know I should probably see my doc., but haven't gotten our new health insurance yet.....so was trying to hold off till then. Thanks for any insight.

  • German Shepherd has skin issues and ?

we've tried many, many things over the yrs. Vet puts him on pills (steroid and antibiotic) that he allows us to medicate him as we see needed-we don't like to keep him on the steroids for long periods. Anyway he's getting older and his condition seems to be getting harder to keep under control-any suggestions would be appreciated.

We've tried different dog foods, special shampoos, even feeding him tuna in the oil (a suggestion from another Shepherd owner), but nothing seems to work for any length of time.

He's a GREAT dog and we'd love to make his Senior yrs. more comfortable than his youth has been.....Thanks.

  • Butter-sugar corn issue?!?

Has anyone else had some non-sweet, gummy butter sugar corn this year? We planted some and have purchased some from local farmers and all have been an extreme let down. (Family have purchased some too and said the same thing.) Is there something going on w/ this type of corn this yr.? We also planted some Incredible and it is sweet and delicious! Just wondering if anyone else has found this to be true of the Butter-sugar this season. Thanks.

  • Corn vs. raccoons! HELP?!?

Husband planted a small section of corn in our garden this year (sweet and incredible). Early July we had stalked taken down and something eating the ears. We asked around and everyone said it sounded like coons. Set a live trap for over a week and caught 1. Haven't had any trouble until yesterday when I noticed 1 small stalk that was leaning down. Stormed here last night and woke this morning to about 6-7 stalks in same area laying down and what appears to be 1 ear missing. Should I panic (again) or see what happens (if anything) the next few days. Half the corn is all leaning the direction of the "fallen" ones. (the "fallen ones are flat on the ground.) I'm not a fan of coons-I'm afraid of them. Any suggestions/advice would be most appreciated.
