  • screenshot with "shutter speed?"?

so, is there any software to take individual screen captures with an adjustable "shutter speed" option? i can find plenty of time lapse and etcetera, but i want something that just takes a long exposure screenshot.

    thanks.

  • how "fractal" does programming get?

    i'm probably asking that wrong.

    ok, some assumptions i'm making:

-software communicates exclusively with other software, firmware, or hardware.

-everyone knows software is written in a programming language (more software.)

for continuity's sake, lets say everyone on earth has a windows computing platform. lets also say that every compiled executable was written in c. who decided, when using some OTHER non-c language, "hey, i think i'm going to write software with my software that makes it possible to make software" and cranked out c? why was it necessary to change from whatever programming language they built c in, and how would they have overcome the limitations of the prior language to create a more powerful language?

how deep does the rabbit hole go, neo? its a hall of mirrors... where is the "end" from whence software is no longer written in software is written in software and on and on, but the hardware mechanically coded to do what it needs to?

    this hurts my head.

  • why does my wgr614v5 connection drop after a few hours of constant activity?

so i have a netgear wgr614v5, hooked up via ethernet to my desktop and wireless to laptop, both windows xp. i write electronic music and distribute it freely over bittorrent networks. on some nights i am still transmitting, so i leave the wired desktop on for a few hours, go out to dinner, go to sleep, whatnot. when i return to the desktop, all transmission has stopped. pinging 192.168.1.x does nothing (all requests time out at any tail-end octet) but pinging 127.0.x is clearly fine. all dns requests time out, and i cant even log into the router via www.routerlogin.com (what a stupid config address!) if i power cycle the router, everything is fine once more until a few more hours of activity when the whole process starts over. if i am NOT actively using a connection and just leaving the router idle, its fine and dandy forever.

i humbly request any networking jedi for their expert assistance.
