  • how to control windows auto scroll speed?

I have windows XP pro, and on my laptop when reading long page(s) I can click the center button and a round circle with two arrows appears to indicate that the page is in auto scroll mode, by gently moving the mouse down the page begins to smoothly scroll down, but even at the slowest level it scrolls too fast for comfortable reading. I've looked in my mouse settings but did not see any where I could adjust this rate? any ideas?

  • Where can I get a NJ last will and testament notarized?

I've called around, banks will NOT notarize wills, most lawyers want to draft it and charge ($100's for the will) I already have a legally (re-tired lawyer uncle drafted it for me) drafter will. Most small notarization places will only notarize their own versions of a will which also costs $100's . How much can I expect to pay just for a standard will notarization. Where should I go?

  • Linux Group file permissions?

I have a script say synchro.php which copies files form one of my Linux account (A ) to another account (call is B) on the same server. When I run the script, the files it copies over to B have the user and group rights of userA lets says its userA:groupA, userA is the user whom the synchro.php is run under.

The problem is when I log into the B account as userB, I don't have access to any of the files due to permissions. Is there some way to create a group lets say syncgroup and assign all the users to this group so regardless of which user I log in as I still have access to the files.? Can this be done in Linux? if so how?

  • How to create an Apache/Mysql Failover system?

I am building a web application for a client, using WAMP (Windows. Apache, Mysql , PHP) and have been asked to make the system reliable with automated failover. The web application should automatically go to working backup if the main server dies. Right now the applicaiton lives on one machine, but when the system is put in production a hot (live) stand by server needs to be active. I understand how to do mysql replication, but that alone does not take care of the automatic failover. Does anyone have any ideas?

  • For an S-Corp how is the cash at years end declared in taxes?

Is my understanding correct, that for an S-Corp that if at the end of the Year, you have operating income in the bank (let's say $10K), and you have 3 partners (33% each), is that amount applicable to their taxes even though they will not get paid from it. Does that count towards the shareholders income taxes, even though they will not receive that money, ie. meaning that money is slated to be used for the business expensese of next year operating budget. What is the proper way to declare it?

  • What is the best language to program on for both pc and mac?

I'm considering writing an application for both the PC and a MAC, most people I've spoken to have said, each one needs to be programmed seperately, but that seems very time consuming. I understand there are toolkits that can be used for both. For example how is something like a polished app Firefox written for both? What are the standard tools used for application development. On a PC I know its Visual C++, VB.NET (or .NET framework) on a Mac I hear its objective C , is there a better way to just write one codebase?
