My parents pay for college for me and normally at tax time they claim me because of what they pay for school. I normally also file a tax return. I got married last year so when my husband did our taxes this year he clicked that no one else can claim me, in error. Can my parents still claim me? Or do my husband and I need to file an amended tax return?

Groupon has a buy with friends deal. So you can buy a Groupon and share the deal with your friends. If 2 of your friends buy the deal then all 3 of you get a credit back. I brought a deal and shared the link with my friends. They both used the link (which is shareable, and what Groupon says to do). One friend made his purchase with no problems.My second friend went to make the purchase and Groupon kept giving an error. My friend did everything correctly but Groupon would not let her purchase, which I feel is a way to stop friends from buying so they will not need to actually give friends the credit. She called Groupons customer support and they said they see her trying to make the purchase but they do not know why it was not going thru. The associate went ahead and purchased the groupon on her behalf but did NOT tell her that it would not attach with the buy with friends deal. She then had him cancel because she wanted to buy it on this link so we could all get the credit that GROUPON IS ADVERTISING. She had to call CS again and that rep went ahead and pushed thru one of the failed purchases which was the one she purchased thru shareable link. All in all, we all brought the deal and have still NOT been credited. Now I cannot get anyone at Groupon to respond. Is this considered false advertisement, as they are not honoring the deal they have set out? We are all also filing separate complaints to the BBB

In a private parking lot of an office building.

My friend received a ticket for obstuction of justice when a police office asked for her drivers license and insurance information in a private parking lot, in relation to an accident. She gave the cop her license but had to go to her car for her insurance card, the police office then stated she was obstucting justice and not complying, and issued her a ticket. She did not refuse to give her the information but she had to go get it, the office was very aggresive. She will fight this in court, but how can that citation be issued just because?

I will need to go on Maternity Leave shortly, I am a part-time associate, that works 20 hours a week, and I have not been at the same company for 12 months. Am I covered under unpaid FMLA? Or is there anything else that protects me, such as Pregnancy Discrimination Act? Any help would be appreciated, please no nonsense answers.... Thanks.

Employee was sent home due to holiday the next day, and snow storm. from my understanding its a law that the employee must still be paid, as they were told to leave, they did not choose to leave. Please help ASAP!

Example, if you live in NY and applied for Food Stamps in that state. If you went to another state for a funeral could you use your food stamps there, in say PA?

I recently received a quaterly bonus, which was less that 1%, however, for some reason my entire $50 bonus went to taxes. It does not make sense considering the taxes taken out of my regular check which was well over $50, had a lot less taxes taken out. Obviously the tax bracket for a bouns is greater, however, there is no way it should be the entire thing, if it is a percentage of the actual amount. I want my employer to remove the bouns altogether, I rather not have this amount added onto my yearly salary to make my salary seem more, however, not even receive one cent from it. Is this possible??? Please help!

My finances aunt died about a week ago, and he seems to be taking it harder than he thought he would. I thought it was strange he didnt seem bothered at all, but now Im noticing changes. He seems depressed and is sleep deprived. He doesnt want to do anything or go anywhere. What can I do to help him? He has no insurance so a doctor is out of the question. Are there things I can say or do to help him deal with it and accept what happened, and move on with life? Obviously without forgetting. Please help. I won a small claims law suit against someone, and they are not paying. I need to find their address (because they moved) so that I can have papers served to them by a State Marshall. How can I find their address??

Is there anything I can do legally? I cannot find them listed as a business to file a BBB report. Can I get the cops involved? Or do anything?? Im pregnant, I am under a great deal of stress, and they wake my one year old son up all the time. They are also there at 1AM, and it appears the cops may be watching them. I believe they sell drugs but cannot prove that. PLEASE HELP ME!
