  • How many nights each week do you sit at the table and eat dinner with your kids without interuptions?

I am the mother of five children and we do multiple activities on an almost nightly basis yet I insist on having a sit down meal with everyone at the table, no TV, phone unplugged, four times a week. This is their time to tell me about their day and discuss topics that are important to them. They get to choose. To us the time spent together is what makes it so special even if all we do is tease each other and tell jokes. After discussions with co-workers, neighbors and friends I find that I am the aberration and not the norm. I find that most families in my circle of acquaintances only get together maybe once a week, if that much. So #1 how many times to you eat together, and #2 do you feel your kids are missing out on your time and attention if your not doing it often?

  • I have an obsure number in my personal cell phone-private line?

When I traced it back it was to a site called "to seek a" which is a company that sells multitutes of 'things; that no one really needs for what they say is a bargin price plus shipping and handling. My question is how to block this type of call from coming into my cell in the first place since I don't want to change phone companies and how do I block them from coming in the first place. Any suggestion would trully be appreciated. I thank each and everyone in advance for the inflowing of knowledge.

  • How many of the RN's out there understand the difference between COPD and CO2 retention?

I have seen multiple questions here on yahoo and am mistified by the number of medical professionals who repeatedly state that COPD patients need to have only low levels of oxygen given to them. I want to see from the nursing professionals out in cyberspace a justification for that rational. Be prepared to back up your information. the 10 points goes to the one who actually comes up with the correct answer.

  • With moral values on the ebb, do you feel that using corporal punishment when displining a child is right?

What I'm refering to is a swat on the backside or the back of the hand. Not taking them out to the woodshed like my grandmother did to me.

  • At what age do you feel a girl should be allowed to wear light makeup?

I have five daughters. My eleven year old has started to make noises about wearing makeup as several of her 5th grade class mates do so. I personally feel that she's much to young. I started at 17. Please chime in with your point of view and why you feel that way. Please also inlude your age and when you started wearing makeup. If your not allowed to do so, would you let me know why your parent or gaurdian feels that you should be restricted. Thank you.

  • What ever happened to being kind to strangers?

As I've grown older I've noticed a distinct trend in our culture toward rudeness. People no longer excuse themselves when they bump into you, I see people of all ages on cell phone talking in public places and they will even interupt conversations to do so, all without appology. Are we really becoming so callus? Do you think that eventually we'll just give up face to face discussions and go complete electronic?
