  • Anyone have Dec/Jan Fit Pregnancy Magazine?

If you do and you're not going to use the $10 off a baby product code for Amazon, could I have it? We can work something out in exchange, if you'd like. Thanks!

  • Where to report realtor?

We are attempting to buy a house and have run across a selling realtor that is super shady. They accepted our offer (via email) 3 weeks ago. The selling realtor has kept asking for info, such as what we are preapproved for, and proof that we have our down payment. I'm assuming the bank was having him ask, but I could be wrong. I do have the emails that he sent to our realtor saying he wanted that info, but it didn't specify that the selling bank wanted it. (It's a foreclosure.)

So last week we provided proof that we have the down payment. (It was requested last Wednesday and we provided it by Friday.) I just happened to see that the listing is now "Active" instead of "Pending", so I called our realtor.

Long story short, the selling realtor said they never accepted our offer and that they accepted one $1,000 more than ours, but it fell through and that's why it shows Active again. Well, I have an email saying it was approved, as well as emails wanting our financial info, so if it wasn't accepted, why would he be asking for this?! He wouldn't. He's shady.

Anyways, not sure where to report him, but feel he needs to be reported as it's unethical what he did, and maybe even illegal.

    Any ideas?

P.S. The only reason we provided that info that he requested was because (A) we were under the impression it was an accepted offer and were willing to show it to get this process going, and (B) it's being bought from a bank, so wasn't worried about identity theft or anything. (Oh, and no account numbers were given, just balances.)

P.S.S. We haven't gotten a signed purchase agreement from THEM, as we were under the impression that us providing the financial information is what was holding them up from signing it.

  • What would you put in this brochure?

I'm a court scopist and I'm trying to make a brochure to send to court reporters. I need ideas of what to put in it. So far I have "What is a scopist?" (and answered), my information, and my rates. What else should I include?

  • What's wrong with my computer?

Randomly, I will be in the middle of something on my computer and all of a sudden it will either lag really bad or all of the screens will just disappear. They won't even be on the task bar. Gone. This happens maybe once a day (or a little less).

McAfee runs daily and has never picked up a virus.

I ran Spybot and it found nothing.

Any ideas of how to fix this?

I have Windows Vista, but please save your comments about it being junk...when I bought my system (a few years ago) it was the only Windows version offered, and as much as I'd love to go buy a different Windows version, it's not in our budget....

    Thanks!!

  • How do you remove stuck down foam layer on a shadow box?

I bought a shadow box, thinking it just had a black background, which is what I wanted. Well, I went to use it and it's squishy and is used to velcro things to. I don't want to do that with it. So, I removed the "squishy" part and am left with a thin layer of foam that is glued down. I got some of that off, but it's glued down pretty well. How can I remove it??

What I'm trying to remove it from is sort of a picture frame back type thing.

    Thanks!

  • Problems with lawyer - what would you do??

Last October me and my husband met with his attorney (who he had previously hired a few years earlier when his ex took him to court for more child support) about getting custody of my stepson, and if we didn't get it, getting child support lowered since we have a baby. She sent us a bill for the retainer, and when she received that, she would get the papers filed.

At the beginning of December, we gave her the retainer. It was over $500. My husband talked to her in February to find out the status and she said that she had been busy and would get the papers filed the following week. Okay, fine.

It's May. No papers. My husband has called her COUNTLESS times to find out the status and even at one point to see if it was possible to get an emergency hearing since my stepson was in a physical altercation with his mother where she bloodied his nose. (He is 14 yrs old) No call back.

A friend of mine is suspicious of her husband doing inappropriate things on the computer.

    Thanks!

  • Who has to pay for private school if public school is fine?

My stepson is 13 years old and goes to a public school. He gets bad grades due to not doing homework and goofing off - but if you ask his mother, it's the school's fault.

Due to his bad grades and the school "having it out" on him, his mother had him take a placement test for a catholic school. We just found out that he scored average and was accepted into the school.

My question is, what are the guidelines for paying for a private school when the public school is fine? There's no reason for him to go to a private school. What he needs is to buckle down at the school he's in. I'm sure in private school he will continue to get bad grades since his mother doesn't make sure his homework is done - she's too busy partying - the only difference will be that it has to be paid for.

Does the father have to pay a certain portion of a private school tuition if the mother chooses to send him there? We really don't have any extra money to pay it. We live in Ohio, if that helps.
