I am torn between going to an out of state college (University of Hawaii) and going in-state for a year before transferring to UH. UH is a much better school than my in-state, but im concerned that both the transition to college and leaving everything that I know behind is too big of a transition for me all at once. I have an excellent relationship with my parents and if i go in state, i will have a couple of high school friends to hang out with if i get lonely and I'll be rooming with one of my best friends. I'm one that finds it hard to make new friends (I've known most of my friends for 5 years or more) and I tend to be introverted. My thought with going in state for a year is that I can get adjusted to college while still retaining a lot of my support structure and then transferring and only having to deal with the transition to a new location. My thought for going to UH is that itll force me to be more independent and make friends and get over my introvertedness. I dont want my college grades to suffer though if i find it extremely difficult to make all the transition at one point.

I wanted to go to the university of hawaii, but with their strict residency policy, i dont see how. You have to live in hawaii for 12 months and during that time, you cannot take more than 5 credits per quarter or that time is not valid. they say they have 20% out of state students, but how do those students make that work? do they just pay out of state tuition for 4 years or what?

I'm looking for something that can have maps loaded on to it so it doesn't require a cell signal, and something with topo maps. Mostly need it for off roading and hiking but turn by turn directions would be nice for in city as well. Looking to spend no more than $20.

Im an interviewer and I wana have a question that will determine if someone will put their subordinates before themselves or not. He needs to be able to take care of himself while also being conscientious to the needs of his team members and when he needs to, put the needs of the team before the needs of himself in both everyday working conditions as well as during stressful situations and I need a question that will determine this quality as well as be a question that will show the applicant's true nature, not just get an answer that will be what I and the other members of the interview board want to hear.

Where does steam download to? I downloaded GRID and it wont run at all and my system doesnt even recognize it as a new program thats been installed. I've tried looking for the game through my programfiles folder and i cant find it at all. Is there a way to redownload it or some other way of fixing this problem?

I'm a junior in high school and I'm thinking about doing the split training program where i would go to basic training this summer and be in the reserves through senior year. The only problem is that the recruiter said that it's not a guarantee that i would be able to transfer to active duty after i finish high school. I understand that there's no guarantee and it depends on how well my evaluations are but what's the realistic probability that i will be able to transfer over? Do people do it all the time or is it really competitive and only the best are able to transfer?

I'm thinking of something similar to Forza Motorsport 3. It needs to have excellent graphics, realistic cars, a large selection of cars, and car customization that includes being able to buy specific parts for the cars like camshafts, drive pulleys, turbos, intakes, etc; not just "tuning level 1, tuning level 2"

They both have excellent graphics and I don't care about multiplayer, so which has a better career mode? I think DiRT has more cars than the second as well as car customization to set suspension and other stuff so is there anything that DiRT 2 does that makes up for the lack of that?

I have about a 1/2 inch of space above the PS (in between the top of the PS and the case) . Is that enough for adequate air flow? Is there much performance difference having the fan get air from the outside of the box or inside?

Of course I wouldn't use it unless in an extreme emergency. If I were to get pulled over, could I get in trouble if the officer saw that I had the siren and light control just hooked up in my car?
