10 AnswersPregnancy1 decade agoPhysics question 2...please hel?
Mass one sits on a table and the other mass is attached to mass one and is on a pully system hanging over the table. M1 accelerates to the right and is 5kg. M2=4kg, F=75N, theta=30degrees and a=2.61m/s(squared)....Determine the coefficient of kinetic friction.
I think it is .197.... and i think there are no units...but this one could be wrong.
thanks all
1 AnswerPhysics1 decade agoPhysics question 1...Please Help?
I have a series off questions...i have one that is wrong but i do not know which one or where in my work...please help.
An avalanche begins on a ski slope on Mount Lemmon . Assume that the mountain there is an angle of 30degrees above horizontal. a Skier is 100m downhill.
how much time does the skier have if there is no friction on the fallling snow.
how much time does the skier have to get out of the way if Uk=.1
i think it is 6 for the first and im unsure of the second but around 7seconds.

2 AnswersPhysics1 decade agoi give up...answer please...It the dreaded physics?
A horizontal disk with radius of 10cm rotates about a vertical axis through its center. The disk starts from rest at t=0 and has a constant angular acceleration of 2.1 rad/s(squared) at what value of t will the radial and tangential components of the linear acceleration of a point on the rim of the disk be equal in magnitude?

A horizontal disk with a radius of 10 cm rotates about a vertical axis through its center. The disk starts from rest at t=0 and has a constant angular acceleration of 2.1 rad/s2. At what value of t will the radial and tangential components of the linear acceleration of a point on the rim of the disk be equal in magnitude?
Could you clarify how to find the tangential information...i really do not know how i made it through this class...
thank-you....and hopefully after this one you will get rid of me for the night... :D
1 AnswerHomework Help1 decade agosorry, this was the tough physics review question...sorry...pls help?
A 2.0-kg block sliding on a rough horizontal surface is attached to one end of a horizontal spring (k = 250 N/m) which has its other end fixed. The block passes through the equilibrium position with a speed of 2.6 m/s and first comes to rest at a displacement of 0.20 m from equilibrium. What is the coefficient of kinetic friction between the block and the horizontal surface?
4 AnswersPhysics1 decade agoAnother tough Physics review question...please help?
A box rests on the (horizontal) back of a truck. The coefficient of static friction between the box and the surface on which it rests is 0.24 while the coefficient of kinetic friction is 0.12. What maximum distance can the truck travel (starting from rest and moving horizontally with constant acceleration) in 3.0 s without having the box slide?
