First off, I AM NOT CHANGING MY OS, so stop it with those comments. Lets please deal with the tactical problem, and leave the strategic for later. When I try to download files (any file I try to download, but not pix I copy/paste), the downloading screen shows up, the bar fills, and just when it's about done, I see the icon flash on screen wherever I've chosen to store it, but then it disappears, and the file isn't anywhere to be found. My hard drive is on 45% full, I'm running Vista, and I have RAM to burn. 2 kinds of virus ware say I'm clean, and I always keep my updates current. HELP!

I downloaded a file, found out I didn't want it, but now I can't delete it. The file says I don't have the permission to do so, but I am the administrator on my computer, so I should have full permissions to do anything. Anyone got any ideas on how to remove it? I tried deleteing the folder it was in, no joy, I tried renaming it, no joy, I can't move it at all.

I have an old FN FAL I'm trying to get rid of; it's beat up, and not really worth much (cheap clone). I'd like to just be rid of it (legally). Does anyone have any suggestions?
