I am possibly looking for staff members on a computer and graphics discussion forum. All I need is one moderator. This forum is complete and just needs more staff to manage the many posts. Does anyone know of where I can find staff for my forum? They must be experienced at using computers. I don't know where to go to find staff.

What is the best software for testing a Macs overall system performance?

Today I turned on my 20" iMac G5 and I saw smoke coming out of the computer. The fan came on very loud like a jet. Then the screen was flashing and I smelled something that was like burning rubber coming from the computer. I am now concerned that if I turn on this iMac again and leave it alone it will catch my house on fire. Has anyone heard of problems like this one.

What is the best way to make a partition on my hard drive that is free. I am running Windows XP. I want to install another operating system on this computer.

I have a 17" Powerbook G4 and I want to be able to charge it up using a solar panel but I don't know what solar device at get to charge up my laptop. If there is a good solar panel that can charge a Powerbook or any other laptop that is under 400$ please let me know.

I am trying to burn a total of 2GB of pictures and text files to a DVD and I can't find any way to copy them to a DVD on my PC. Is there any program that can burn pictures ,text files, etc... to a DVD? I already have a DVD burner.

I have a copy of Windows Vista Beta1 on my hard-drive and I want to burn these files to a CD or DVD. The files are a total of 2.64GB. When I open the folder there are 60 files that have .r00_.r01_.r02_.r03...... at the end of them. They also mention something about (132bitdvd) I do not know what all this means. I think I will need to burn them to a install DVD but I am not sure. How to I turn these files into the original operating system so I can install it? I have heard something about if I convert them to an .iso format and copy them to a DVD that should work. If this is true how can I do this. Thanks!

I need a powerful computer for doing computer graphics and I am not sure what computer would be best for this task. I am probably am going to get a Quad Powermac G5 with 3GB of RAM but I want to know if there is a better computer for using software like Photoshop CS2. I do prefer Macs. What would you recommend.

I am using a Nikon D70 SLR digital camera and I am trying to view my pictures in the Photoshop CS file browser as thumbnails

but all I see is the same Photoshop icon. The files will open normally but I cannot see what they are. Is there any way I can view .NEF files as thumbnials in the Photoshop file browser?

I have a new Gateway PC and I am trying to back up the data on my hard-drive and I cannot find any way to do this. Normally I back up through an external hard-drive but mine is broken. The computer cannot connect to the internet. It has a broken wireless card and has no access to an ethernet connection.

I want to format my hard drive and cannot until my data is safe.

I can not install Yahoo Messenger on any of my Mac computers.

They all run OS X 4.6. When I go the the Yahoo Messenger website and I click "Download for OS X" it downloads a .bin file to my computer and it only opens in Quicktime and Final Cut Pro with errors. How can I get Yahoo messenger on my Mac?

I found a dent dent on my new 17 inch powerbook g4. It is not very deep but covers a large part of the computer. It is under the apple on the front of the computer. Is there any way to remove this dent?
