Where is the thermostat housing on a 2001 Cadillac Seville STS located? The engine is the 4.8 L v8...... Any help would be gretaly appreciated and if you don't know what I am talking about please don't reply.

I have replaced the compressor and accumulator along with recharging the system with sufficient freon but now the compressor won't turn on anymore. Initially I had this problem replaced the electrical components of the compressor and it worked for 15 min then it stopped turning on. My question is why does the compressor stop working? Is it getting too much power (ie too many volts that end up shorting out the electrical components of the compressor?)? I am totally lost on what to do
