What is this bug (Texas fly/cricket/ant)?

When this bug is flying around it is hard to identify it as anything other than a fly at first glance. However, when looking close enough or if it lands it is easy to see it's not a fly. The long antennae and cricket-like back legs make this bug look a hodgepodge of a fly, cricket and ant...any guesses??

  • What happens to dunk drivers who only injure themselves?

I'm an RN and was wondering what happens on the rare occasion that we do get a drunk driver who critically injures ONLY themselves. If someone else is injured they will be in police custody but it seems like if they hurt themselves the police will come to investigate but they won't be shackled to the be or have a guard. If they survive but are severely injured (para/quadriplegic, amputation ect) are they still charged with anything???

  • Drug Test & Adderall?

I know I tested positive for "CN-P", which I'm guessing has something to do with the Adderall (a stimulant effecting the CNS-->CN??? maybe); but the test also said I was FT positive-small...I have know idea how to interpret this. I have a prescription and they have it on file but this is worrying me I don't want to be disqualified from the position b/c of this!

  • Can the PS3 120 GB play the older games downloaded of the PSN?

I want to get one so I can play FF VII for the first time and upgrade my gaming system but if I can't play older games from PS and PS2 then it's kind of pointless.

  • What Is The Best Digital Camcorder To Buy?

I'm looking to buy camcorder but have no experience in the area. I've looked at everything from the Flip Ultra to Sony and JVC but can't make heads or tails of anything. I'm trying to keep it under $300 but other than that I don't care.

    Any suggestions?

  • If my 1st hard drive gets full will stuff overflow to my 2nd one?

I don't know how I managed to almost fill my 111GBs but I only have 9GBs left. My computer is showing I have a second hard drive called Data (D:) so I was wondering if my info would automatically roll over to the 2nd one (it's 111GBs also)?

  • Connecting VGA/RCA cable from Laptop to TV?

I have an older TV (2003) and was trying to figure out how to connect my Acer Aspire 4730Z to it. I bout a VGA/RCA (with an S-Video port also attached) but cannot figure out how to set it up. My Intel TV Wizard doesn't even recognize it....and when I try to change the video connection to composit the wizard doesn't even respond. I previously bought an adapter that had red, green, and blue prongs but I don't have a TV that it fits (the Intel Wizard picked up on that one, bummer!).

    Do I need another adapter?

Should I buy a S-Video cable and use it? Will it work?

Or am I just not able to connect it to my TV?

  • Natural Japanese/Chinese Hair Colors???

Most of the time when we think of these Asian countries we think of ppl with black hair (and occasionally brown). I was wondering if red or blond hair made it into their gene pool? When I see Asians with these hair colors I just automatically assume they are dyed but am I being to presumptuous??

  • News Blues: Tell me what I want to here already!!!?

Are you sick and tired of your local news station teasing you with segments to come only for you to watch the whole hour and they squeeze it in during the last 15 mins somewhere???

I am soooo sick of this! Meanwhile they keep repeating the same crappy, unimportant story over and over again...and I think Fox is the WORST.

  • Tablet PC not writing in Word!! HELP!!?

My school gives us a tablet pc to take notes with. We are supposed to be able to write on top of word documents, power points ect. but for some reason mine is not doing that!!! The words wrap around the ink in a box. I WANT MY IN NOTATIONS IN FRONT OF THE TEXT! The only remedy is for me to go in and click on every single ink note and format them individually.....this is so frustrating I cannot keep up in class b/c of this problem!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Dose my dog have CANCER???

I noticed one of these little tumors like growths (pics below) on my dog a few years ago but I didn’t think anything of it. Now he is getting more of them (he currently has four or five of them) and I’m concerned that he might have cancer. He is a very healthy dog by all appearances which is good for him b/c I’m a poor college student and can’t really afford too many vet visits. Is this just something that happens to dogs or should I get more concerned and rush him to the vet???

BTW he is a 7 year old miniature poodle.

  • How do you feel about Flower's Death (Meerkat Manor)?

I feel almost sick to the heart….I cannot believe she is gone. I know she was just an animal but I often have more sympathy for their plight than humans because from my spiritual stand point humans have the chance to live again if they behave themselves now but animals don’t have that same promise. I knew something like this was bound to happen sooner or later…all wild animals eventually die but I wasn’t expecting her to die so brutally. The only solace I can take is that she saved the lives of not only her babies but also Axle.

FLOWER WILL BE MISSED AND LOVED!!

    *cry*

  • Nursing School Reading Load??

Okay I just had my first day of class in nursing school (PVAMU) and I am already beginning to feel overwhelmed by the amount of reading...I have to read about 20++ chapters. And today at the convocation the upperclassmen were really trying to encourage us to read everything that's assigned but is that possible???????? I am the slowest reader alive so I already know that I'm not going to finish all the assignments by their dead line...

If you are or were a nursing student how important is reading to you and do you get it all done before class???

I'm still going to give it my hardest try but I need to know if it's a realistic goal.

BTW I'm a first semester student.

  • Nursing School Worries?

I will be starting nursing school on August 20th and I must say I am very worried. All my life I’ve felt stupid and backwards. I struggled to maintain a 3.5 throughout high school and a 3.6 throughout college. Now it is finally time for me to enter in the most difficult phase of my scholastic career and I feel woeful unprepared. Like a foolish idiot I took all the hard classes first like Anatomy, Micro and Chem during my freshman year (that was fun…). Now its three years down the line I feel like I don’t remember a darn thing!! I am so scared that I’ll flunk out and/or loose my finical aid and scholarships (which I’d have to repay both if that happened).

I am worrying over nothing?? How much will they refresh us on or will they just more or less start from scratch but at an accelerated pace? Somebody fill me in before I have a nervous breakdown!

Ever since our family has moved into our new house we’ve seen these weird little bugs inside. To me they resemble crickets but I don’t know…can anyone tell me what they are??? Here are some pics of them:
