Car feels like it's got no power?
2003 ford focus LX, manual tranny
When I am accelerating, particularly in the lower gears and starting from a stop, not just on hills, it feels like I'm in to high of a gear. As soon as I shift, I feel like I should be downshifting again to get going. Could this be related to the fuel filter? It is my girl friends car, with original fuel filter at 130k.
It's not every single time, but it's consistent enough to be very annoying. Thanks for your help.
PS I am going to change the fuel filter this weekend just to be sure that's not it.
1 AnswerMaintenance & Repairs9 years ago07 low rider k&n filter?
hi, i bought a k&n filter and had to return it because its not the right one. mine has two hoses coming into the back side of it, and the one they send me does not have the hoses attached, and i cannot find a way to detach it from the filter without destroying them.
does anyone know where i can get this filter or a similar quality filter for my bike? i have tried jcwhitney, jpcycles and realhog. should i go to a local auto zone and see if they got one? thanks.
5 AnswersMotorcycles1 decade agodrilling exhaust?
Has anyone had any problems drilling the exhaust for a louder sound? This would be for a 2005 VTX 1300 S to be specific. It is not my bike, but they would like to know before they start doing those things to their bike. Any mechanical issues, need to be rejetted, etc. would be cool, thank all.
8 AnswersMotorcycles1 decade ago'07 Dyna, Thunderheader?
Hey all.
My question is involving the thunderheader exhaust.
The only system for my bike, an 07 dyna, that I can find by thunderheader says it is Black. Well I know what that means, but right about it, it also says 06-07 dyna TC88. Now, I'm not sure why this is? Mine is a TC96 and it can work with other exhaust systems that are 06-07 dynas, and they dont say need to be a TC88. Can anyone correct me on this, or do they just not make a Thunderheader for my bike yet? (other than black, which I don't really want?)
thanks
2 AnswersMotorcycles1 decade agoexhaust performance?
What brand and what style gives the best performance?
I was told a 2 into 1 exhaust gives the most power. True?
Also, VH is supposed to be good, but they only make one exhaust for my bike and its not a 2 into 1. Perhaps I should go with Cobra? Or are there any other good brands out there? Thanks in advance
5 AnswersMotorcycles1 decade agoKawasaki vs Harley?
Hey. Im looking to upgrade my honda 750aero and am trying to decide my best choices here. Basically I've narrowed it down to a Kawasaki, or a Harley. Preferablly a kawasaki 1500+ or a harley wide glide. Can anyone give me some pros and cons to each of the bikes? And please dont come in here bashing one or the other, I'm looking for real experience from newer bikes. Thanks
18 AnswersMotorcycles1 decade agoDo I need to rejet?
I have replaced the exhaust system already, and re jetted it for that.
Now I am planning on getting a K&N or similar performance air filter and need to know if re jetting is going to be necessary for that as well? Thanks.
5 AnswersMotorcycles1 decade agoHandlebar height/angle ?
Im curious, is there a certain height/angle that my bike handlebars should be at, for example, should they be level with my seat and far enough forward so I have to lean forward more? Thanks!
3 AnswersCycling1 decade agoMotorcycle, MORE power!?
Whats up!!
Ok. I added a performance exhaust and I plan on adding a K&N filter to it once I get to the end of my current air filter's life span. Can anyone reccomend any further performance or power enhancements short of buying a bigger bike? :)
Also, it is a honda 750 aero, incase that matters. Thanks tons.
