First read it all befor you jump down my throat!

Why would a woman lie and claim that she was abused when she wasn't? To get her way, to punish the other person? Can people really be that self-involved and perverse that they don't see anything wrong in doing this?

I know two women that have claimed to be abused and both openly admitted that there was no abuse, but that they wanted to punish "him" for something. I mean they went all out and wept in court and everything and these guys now have domestic violence charges/convictions against them for no other reason than she lied about it. They had to do time in jail/community service, anger management courses.

My question is why is the womans word taken so often?

There are truly battered women out there, and for them I truly hope their batterer is punished, but for the "fakers" I think they should be punished. If you think of it really the fakers make it harder for the truly battered to be belived. It is a shame.

Is it just me, or does the fact that people asking medical questions up here scare you, too! Do they really think that they are going to get medical care/advice here, like every third person on yahoo is a doctor? Even if the person giving the advice is a dr. who would really take it and use it as gospel, they haven't looked at you, so no reasonable diagnosis is possible. And the ones that make me wonder the most is when some female, says "i've had sex-could I be pregnant?" well you answered your own question, your doing everything you need to, to be pregnant. Am I wrong or is this insane?
