  • Sprinkler timer that can water one zone even if raining?

I am very familiar with the operation of a rain sensor, but my needs are rather odd. Is there a timer that can bypass the rain sensor for certain zones? The reason being is I use one zone for patio plants, and these plants do not get rain. So if my rain sensor is active, my patio plants do not get watered. A timer that has a setting for rain sensor on/off per zone (similar to a pump relay setting) would be perfect.

I have considered a second timer (2 zones), but the problem is that the valve is on the other side of the yard and thus I do not think I can/should reuse the single common wire (since there would be two voltage sources from the the two timers). I'm worried if the programming went haywire, both systems could be active at the same time. I'm no electrician, but I don't think this would be good.

A timer that handles the rain sensor on a per-zone basis would be perfect. Does it exist?
